No more $500 PS3.

If they discontinue the 20 gig, drop the price of the 60 gig down to $500..

But wait, why wouldn't they just drop the price of the 60 gig to $500, then drop the 20 gig to $400... That would make it WAY more accessable...

I don't care much about the larger hard drive. I'd care even less about the "card reader" (lame add-on IMO since my camera with SD card also uses USB to hook up to my computer).

Not a smart move by sony methinks...
 
My parents said they were gonna wait a year to buy the $500.......plz dont make me WAIT ANOTHER YEAR!!!!!!!!!! :-[ :-[

I can't remember where I got the info from. I think it was from a buddy of mine at work (since I moved stores, I realized that most of the people at this store are hardcore gamers).

I agree. I would rather have Mass Effect or Kingdom Hearts 3 as opposed to Halo 3
 
I can see the argument for the price of the PS3 as valid, but don't ever say there's no good games lined up in the future. It's ridiculous.
 
There's alright games. Any great exlusive titles? Only time will tell. Microsoft keeps nabbing them up. :D

I do agree that maybe the $500 should've jus gone down to $400 to actually compete with Microsoft. That would've been a smart choice.

Nah. I'm sure it will have it's share of cheap jabs. But if it turns into an all-out flame fest, I'm sure it will be shut down quick. ;)

That definitely wasn't my intention in making this thread.

Anyways, I think they just should have lowered the price of the 20gig PS3, instead of discontinuing it. Less choices=bad for consumer.

It's never the author's intention. And since topics are fluid in nature, the ability for the author to control it is limited. And please don't think I was threatening. I just stated a simple fact that features are set in place to control negative content.

As far as less choices for the consumer being a bad thing, I agree. But it could mean that Sony was simply dumping an otherwise unprofitable version of the console in order to make way for a more economical version. Maybe they'll dump the Cell processor for something less costly but about as effective. Personally I'd love to see Blu-Ray go bye-bye. HD seems less expensive and seemingly just as good. I feel that Blu-Ray is something that HD should evolve into, and not compete with.

You really like kingdom hearts don't you. Anyways I thought you were getting a wii for Mushroom Kingdom Hearts...oh wait, that's never coming out. Love torchering you so. :D
