The Wii couldn't handle the same graphics.

Small downgrade probably.
Doesn't seem that taxing, possible that the only strain would be all the AI it would have to generate at once.

It really doesn't seem all that taxing, but you have to remember that the Wii has about as much power as the Xbox, so I'm thinking they would definitely need a graphical downgrade.

Hmm...there's a plus and minus in all the screenies. So, it could be PC or Wii.

That's the zoom button. I would be surprised if every version didn't have one of those. >_>
I know, but it's probably one of the few things the Wii would have to have mapped to a button.

I'm betting the Wii could render this game just fine, it looks little better than an original Xbox game.

But the Wii isn't as powerful as the regular X-box so we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah....it's actually more powerful than the Xbox. Have you played Galaxy, or Corruption?

Let me dig up the quote from Creepindeth about the graphical power of both.

EDIT: This search tool is so hard to use. Maybe Creepin can come and shed some light. The Wii can come pretty close to original Xbox graphics, but it can't match them.

EDIT 2: Here's an article I found also proving the Wii can't beat regular Xbox graphics, but that it can come close. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/09/is-wii-less-powerful-than-xbox-one-ngai-croal-investigates/

Right. I've never seen an Xbox game look nearly as good as the previous games I mentioned, but OK. Wrong topic for this, anyway. Point is, I don't see Wii having any trouble at all running the version of Spore we see in the photos in this thread.

Okay, who the hell cares? They're almost equal. Idk if the Wii is more powerful or the Xbox is more powerful. I know one is more powerful than the other, and I also know that the difference between them is very small. Almost any game that could run on a Wii could run on an Xbox, and vis-versa.

Yeah, but I was just saying that since Spore doesn't look too much better (or at all) than a higher end Xbox game, it could run on Wii just fine.

well graphics are the last thing im worrying about in the wii version >_>. i'm actually more worried about controls and if both versions are gonna have similar features and gameplay

Calm down there guy. I was just proving a point. Plus, Xbox and Wii use different graphic styles in different games. Any Wii game can play on an Xbox, but Riddick, and a select few others the Wii would not be able to handle. But, like you said, "who the hell cares?" :lol

I'm still getting Spore for the Wii though. It's amazing to see how much customization can go into everything.
