Official Halo 3 General Discussion

I just picked this up today so I shall finally join in on all the fun (since none of you are on CoD4, punks :lol).

Is it recommended to get the new maps as well? Don't they become free after a while?

The maps are pretty neat, but not necessary. They have the maps in a separate playlist in matchmaking so it shouldn't be a problem if you don't have them.

I'm glad you decided to get it, though! The EGA Halo clan grows stronger every day! :D

I guess I'll pick up the maps as well. I spent some of my XBL points so now I have to pick up a few more before I can download them.
 
I made an awesome map in forge that all my friends love called the pit of death. its the lower hallway (the one with the hammer in it) in guardian, and there is a turret on each end. all of the spawnpoints are in this hallway, as well multiple copies of every weapon and equipment in the game. every single thing, including the turrets is set to 10 second respawn.

its constant chaos, and we love it

and i also made the pit of death II, where i did the same thing to the floor right above, so there is two pit of deaths right on top each other

Awesome. We should do that some time. I was never actually going to touch the campaign since I never have before in the other Halo's. But if people actually want to go through it with me then I'm good to go.

:lol Thanks aleeock, and yeah it was fun. Glad I picked this game up.

It's been a while and CoD4 was still fresh on my mind. Not to mention on that last game my controller kept cutting out. My dashboard said I had enough juice left but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I had to switch batteries mid-game. :(

Next time though, next time. 8)
 
Oh I kinda wondered why you didn't have a mic icon for a death or two... CoD4 is fun, but for some reason I just keep coming back to Halo...
