They might have been boosters. In other words, doing poorly on purpose to try and help someone else rank up. Did your team lose that game, by chance? Your teammates who sucked might have been trying to help their buddies on the other team.
 
In ranked matches you don't get split up though. We didn't lose by much (maybe 5-10 frags).

I'm always happy to help people :) I love playing with people too... But nobody's ever on... I don't generally just randomly join people, I feel weird joining a party without an invite.

Yeah, me too, especially since if they are in ranked matches I'm always afraid they are going to be way higher ranked than I am.
 
I think Halo 3 is a good game to get used to the controller with. The only part that some people still have trouble with is using the bumpers to activate stuff and to reload. But there's usually prompts to make it easier to know when you can use the bumper.

There's also different control schemes you can try out. Personally I like the default, but Joyling uses the Walkie Talkie scheme and it seems to work for her.
 
Hmm, I'll probably stick with Default as well. Might as well get used to it, considering it was made the primary.
 
I just got to play Halo 3's multiplayer for a while. A friend was over, and we played it on my 360 for a couple hours. Its just like Halo 2's, meaning its really freaking good. I'm definitely picking it up, probably at Christmas time.
 
Yeah it better!  Gah that was fun tonight...  Playing by yourself all the time really gets boring quick. You learn to pretty much fend for yourself though real quick. Too bad nobody else was on to play with us Mai.
 
Yeah, and that I lagged out a few matches.

It was so much fun though. I like when I stickied the guy on the head!

Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to get more people.
 
Friday and Saturday I'm out of town so after today I'll have to wait til Sunday to really play with y'all unless I get home a little early on Saturday.

Yeah, hopefully, I'll stand a chance. You guys have way more Xbox use than me, I doubt if I can handle the controller yet. Few more hours and I'll have mine, though odds are, I'll be solo campaigning.
 
Hope so. I'll be ready in three or four hours, well, no. I'll have my 360. I won't hit online 'til Strubes gets back from work.
 
I feel better now, so I'll probably be on after all.

I want to get in some multiplayer tonight, so maybe we could do some custom games or something as well as the campaign.

EDIT: Oh, right, how's the quality of the standard headset with the Premium?

Not bad. The only downside is that it has cords. Pretty good sound quality.
