One of the first DSi American trailers (Why is everyone wearing bleach white clothing in this ad?? o.o)

My Dad just preordered this for my birthday! :D I got the blue DSi. I only have the box though. (Of course.) :lol I'm so excited!

(Even if it comes out less than a month after my birthday, it's still a birthday gift! XD)

DSi has outsold DS Lites original pre-order record.

Huh, that's kind of surprising. Just shows what an absolute stranglehold Nintendo has on the handheld market.

We received some Dev. units today. I must say, if I didn't have one at work, I would buy one. I had a lot of genuine fun with just the built-in camera app. Bigger and better screen, it's more powerful than the other DS's, some actual useful, fun camera and sound apps and much better feeling buttons with an actual tactile feel to them. It's almost like having a mini-Wii, especially with the way they designed the GUI.

If you don't have a DS Lite, I highly recommend one. If you only have the original DS, I recommend getting one as well.

Cool! I might sell my DS Lite and get one!

Wow that actually sounds really cool. I might trade in one of my DS's for it. :)

DSi-only and DSi Enhanced cards announced:

At Nintendo's GDC panel on the DSi's design, Project Leader Masato Kuwahara revealed a bit of news regarding DSi software. that will either terrify or thrill you based on the status of your DSi preorder. Two new types of DS cartridges are on the way: "DSi Cards," which will only work on the DSi, and "DSi Enhanced Cards," which work on all DS systems, but will have extra features when played on a DSi.

We knew that Gameloft was planning to use some kind of hybrid DS/DSi card. But we didn't think that Nintendo would make DSi-only cards! And to be clear, by "didn't think" we mean "saw it coming a damn mile away." Confirmed: you're buying another DS.

Midnight launch party!

The festivities start at 9PM on Saturday, April 4th, with the system going on sale at midnight amidst some sort of big celebration. Me? I'll be getting up early Sunday and parkour running down to my local GameStop to pick mine up, just to keep in the spirit of things.
