Really? I've only heard otherwise... it felt totally different from Melee. I was a dedicated Melee player... and I kept trying to do things that only work in Melee, and they didn't work... it's different man. :D

Jack: will do. I'm kinda at work right now so I'll post about it later.

Alright.

Well, I would hope that they would make it different than Melee. We need something fresh ya know?

Not fighting wise. I mean, it has extra characters and maps and some new stuff. But is it really all that much of a change? I hope so. I can't wait to finally OWN this! :)

I feel ya dude. I've been watching gameplay videos from the imported videos. Man, I need this game so bad...

Yeah, fighting is way different. Everything is slower movement wise, and there's a huge focus on aerial attacks, so it's an improvement.

Actually, I didn't notice a slowdown at all. The game felt just as good as Melee (better even) in terms of play mechanics.

Well, go back and play Melee, Melee is much faster.

Brawl is slower than Melee. Since they are using a new physics engine (The Havok engine mayhaps?) there is no wavedashing which made the speed in Melee much faster which we don't have in Brawl.

Melee characters were a lot faster even without wavedashing. Everyone's running and falling speed has been cut back in Brawl.

Oh, cool,
Lucario gets stronger as he takes more damage, he can do between 150% and 200% the regular damage depending on how weak he is.

again because the physics engine. Also the distance and speed of everyones rolls are the same.

How far is that?

Also, Roy and Mewtwo were planned to be playable, they have victory music on the disc.

Shooting credits is much better, pictures of unlocked characters, Pokeball Pokemon, and ATs scroll, and the more you shoot, the more coins you get.

On Spear Pillar, Dialga can tilt the stage and send a damaging beam horizontally or vertically across the stage, while Palkia can do the beam or reverse the stage, so your location will flip. Apparently, Palkia can flip the stage, too.

Brawl might have downloadable characters!

Doc, Roy, Mewtwo, Plusle/Minun, Dixie and Toon Zelda/Sheik (Tetra) are in the coding for Brawl. They are roughly the same size file as Sheik.

They are not complete characters, they are just in the code, under characters. They still need moves, textures, sounds and Kirby hats.

The file for them to be complete would be small enough to be on the VC. They would need place holders if they wanted to allow these characters to be downloaded, just as Pokemon does (kind of). We have place holders. There is room on the character selection screen.

Now onto music coding.
Within the music, there are 3 unknown songs. 2 are "New Features" the other is oddly named "Purchase"
Purchase, as in buy. 2 unknown features and purchase. Sounds like something is buried in the game to be prepared for something...

possibly the music thing i brought up earlier

seriously

who don't want we will rock you while beatting mario's mustache off w/ sonic the Hedgehog.

Does anyone know if the soundtrack for SSBB is going to be available for purchase in CD format, either in Japan or the US?

I know I can download it, but I have a thing about having a physical copy.

No. They wouldn't bother with the licensing. It's going to stick with game stuff.

I have (I played a good four hours of Melee last night). I know it's statistically lower; all I'm saying is that you don't notice it at all. It's just as intense.

Hmm... I'm not sure. I think I'll just use the Sound Test for music, but gl finding a CD Mai :)
