So everyone that plays Brawl has a bad connection? I have never played a match without lag, and neither have you. Nintendo is extremely behind when it comes to the internet, and that can't be denied.

want me to send you many lagless battles i saved on my SD card? (saved specially to say "OBJECTION" to people like you XD) and it doesn't apply to anyone because yesterday fhq and i were playing and we had just a few problems... but when i play with other people i have a full experience so it's your problem hines.

i have to disagree with everything you said strubes... (except on-line.. though i have no problem without voice chat because if i'm not battling i'm typing or talking somewhere else) it's a 10/10 for me... those are minor issues, but for especific it would be a 9.5/10

@fhq, Yeah, I don't lag ever on Halo 3, ever. It was you or Hagriss.
Oh, that explains the non-existant lag when it was only me and Hagriss. Thanks for explaining.

That's because it's in the middle of the day. Try playing at night, you will have no luck finding anyone.

OBJECTION

yesterday was friday and fhq and i were playing at night

TAKE THAT

and we didn't have lag.

.....interesting.

Psst. Strubes has a day job. That means he does mainly play at night.

Which is why he and I were both on EGA at noon last Thursday when I was sick?

@Zidart, I'm not talking about playing with friends.

Don't go bashing it for its online yet. It will be fixed. And even so, it seems it's gotten a huge amount better already.
You may be right, but so far, I haven't had the best experiences with online.

Plus, games frequently release patches post-release to fix problems, but that doesn't stop reviewers from factoring the problems into what kind of score they give it.

Spent over 12 hours on SSBB today. I have to say that the changes of some of the stuff from Melee to Brawl don't effect as they did last weekend. But, I finally went through SSE with another player and I have to say. WHY, the story isn't that bad (even though I came in at like 40% in and that the guys from Final Fantasy did it) but, it has to be some of the worst platforming I have done. Another thing is that the Final Smash kinda felt like a cheap KO for some characters. The lack of L-Canceling was another thing I didn't like (I can deal without the Wavedashing) but, what am I gunna do? The good thing is that it felt like a Smash game. It was fun but not as competitive as I would have liked. I like it but, I don't think it warrants a 10/10 maybe a 8.5/10 for the sub par adventure mode and some of the final smashes been cheap but, the good thing is that it's still Smash and is still fun.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that we did a couple Brawl tourneys and I completely demolished the competition (even though the one kid had as much time in the game as our very own Jack).

platforming it's more fun if you do more exploration though... good review frodus though i disaagree completely XD (specially because maybe final smashes are cheap but getting the smash ball takes time and you can take it out of the enemy) and well i never used L-cancel so that didn't take points off for me. also i still don't see how not having glitches makes it less competetitive... still everyone has their own style i'm just saying why i disagree. no offense

Eh, the smash ball is actually easy to get and pull off. I never said that the glitches made the game more competitive. I thought that it wasn't as competitive because it wasn't as fast and L-Canceling made it faster.

Then that is a sign of a bad/inexperienced reviewer, unwilling to realize that the lag is not the developer's fault in any way. That should go into a review of the Wii, not the review of the game. I stand by this fully in reviewing. If an Xbox 360 game that came out during the Xbox Live issues of Holiday '07 was reviewed poorly because of the issues, those interested in the review would deem it unfair as well.

Does it really matter whether or not it's the developers fault? Lag effects online play, and generally makes it less fun. The purpose of games is entertainment. Anything that interferes with that or generally makes a game less entertaining should effect the score of that game, regardless of whose fault it is.

well sometimes it takes time to get the smash ball but i mean when appears everyone has the opportunity to get it besides there some experienced players that can evade some of the attacks like pit's and ness/lucas ... and well fast =/= competitive in my opinion

you were sick obviously it was a halllucination.

eventually nintendo will come out w/ something to stop the lag, make us buy it, and be like
"What? You expected us to let you play online for free?"

Just like they did w/ Donkey Kong 64
