I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say ones that are enjoyable enough to play after beating it, ones that...hmm...seem like they are actually worth $50.

Sounds like you are talking about Super Mario Galaxy to me...............

Man, I wish I had a Wii! I want Super Mario Galaxy so bad. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Oh, well. I will eventualy get one.

No, I'm not. If I want to spend $50, I want it to last me to make it worth that. Not a long game(I don't care about that), but one with replay value, which is severly lacking in 3D Mario platformers.

actually, they have some of the best. trying to collect every star is really fun, and going back and doing it is a severe challenge

No, it's a basic 'challenge'. It's easy to navigate the worlds, easy to beat the enemies, easy to find the Star/Sprite, and so on. Plus, I've already gone through the area six times, why do i want to go through it more?

Well, ummm, you want to go through it more, because realy cool people like to do that?? :D

its actually different for every star

you would have most likely known that if you were a gamer

No, it's boring as hell. Sure there's 120 Stars, but there's only so many areas. And after going through them all those times, you're just like, "Wow, enough, I get it, this place looked fun at first, but now it's bleh, I know it from one end to the other, it's boring to go through it just to accomplish such an easy goal."

@Hines, maybe if you were a gamer, you'd know the area doesn't change significantly enough to do shit for the quickly draining fun of going through it.

Okay, Mario is a classic gaming franchise. That being said, Sunshine was a big turd, plain and simple, but Galaxy looks like a Mario game that will bring Mario back to the glory days of Mario 64. Fhq, idk why you bought a Wii if you don't want to play a Mario game on it, considering it will probably be one of the best games on the system...

Mario 64 is where I first noticed this. It was fun and all, but after getting most of the stars, I was always going to the areas thinking, "Wow, still nothing new."

I thought Sunshine was good, but then again, I'm probably the only person in the world who liked both that and Luigi's Mansion.

@Cherry: Prime and Brawl together provide more challenge, fun, replayability, and general awesomeness than Galaxy.

no it wasnt cherry, i dont know where you get off. it was a great game with fun gameplay, good graphics and fun levels.

ooooh it had a water pack, it offered something new, it must be terrible

it was a mario game through and through

i swear, stop basing your opinions on reviews

Hines, for a Mario game, it did suck. Mario 64 was great, but Sunshine just didn't live up to it. Okay, calling it a turd was a little harsh, but it was the worst Mario game in my opinion. Of course, it was still a decent game...

Worst goes to US version of 2, but that didn't really count. Worst Mario platformer or worst Mario, 'cause Mario's done a lot of stuff.

I meant Mario platformer but like you said, there have been a lot of Mario games, although a lot aren't that good...

Sunshine did suck. I owned and played the game

i swear hines, stop being a little b****. You have a lot of growing up to do. In the real world people WILL disagree with you. Are you just gonna yell at them or sam fisher up behind them and break their neck every time you have a disagreement

Yep, he is. Get over it.

Honestly, Mario has never been my favorite Nintendo franchise. For me it's always been

Zelda>Metroid>Pokemon>Mario

I really didn't get into Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine, and actually I was going to pass on Galaxies because I just thought, "Oh another Mario platformer. Meh." But the trailers they showed from E3 looked amazing, and now I have to at least play it. It's still about third on the list beind Fire Emblem and SSBB, but I will definitely try it.

personally, i dont like fire emblem. i have the gamecube version because i got it for $5 brand new, an its honestly no different from the gba games

i suck at those kinds of games :-\

Are you talking about all-time with that or just recently? If you're talking just recently, I agree 100% (except Pokemon needs some new gameplay. Its starting to get old...).

If you are talking all time, Mario has to be further up on that list. He changed the platforming genre forever with his early games, and I think that alone would put it ahead of everything, but Zelda for me (cause I really love Zelda).

In the NES, SNES era it was Zelda>Mario, sure. Mostly because I hadn't played Metroid, and Pokemon wasn't even around. My favorite Mario game to this day is still actually Yoshi's Island (SNES).

I just have never been that big on platformers, period. The only one I actually do like is Mario.
