I would get it for PS3 seeing as that Sony consoles already have a wonderful control scheme whilst the 360 may be a bit unreliable, same goes for DMC4 also.

good point...but remember that my ps3 is limited and if i get a 360 will be all for me XD.. though i'm planning to get DMC4 for the ps3 because you need to be an adept to the controls XD

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Disscussion

I plan on getting RE5 on day one for the PS3. Have they announced the release date yet?

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Disscussion

I'm most certainly am excited to play it,I just hope they put a little more effort into the ending this time.Do any of you agree that "RE4" had a crummy ending?

Thank you.

Most definitely. It was corny, cliched, and generally stupid.

RE4's entire story was like that, lol. Didn't bother me though, I mean, RE's are not exactly known for their story, and I don't mind if it stays that way!

That's exactly what their known for, among other things as well.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Do not ever expect a nice ending unless this game is known to be the final installment in the series. All the games are used as vehicles to drive the story. They are just pieces of the puzzle. The cutscenes and passages within the game are their just for that.

Well, I will just have to disagree then. Because I truly do not believe the RE series is known for the stories. The dialogue is extremely generic and cheesy, and let's be honest the story is pretty dang cliche. It's like saying you watch a B- horror movie for the great story lines :lol

:lol

*Looks at Barry's dialouge from RE1 (PS1 version)*

I guess we'll disagree then. It started out cheesy but finally began to become better in RE2. Capcom realized this and gave it better production value.

They story may have started out cliche as well but became much better written in the following games. Had they started to make RE a better game from the beginning then we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

Hmm, yea that is true, after 1 the stories did get progressively better. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are a selling point of the RE games, but it helps. I guess for me I just never played the RE games for their stories. I was saying that I personally don't mind if an RE game has a crap story because the gameplay and settings are really all I play them for :)

beg to differ. CV.

hate to say it man, but CV was the least favorite of the series when it comes to sales numbers. RE2 takes the cake.

Re: Resident Evil 5 General Disscussion

CV had one of the saddest scenes ever....

Steve?? Steve?? STEVE!!!!!!! >__<'

As is the case with most games, I don't pay much attention to the "story". Maybe if the stories were better....
