Seeing Red

So I woke up this morning having only had 5 hours of sleep because I had to attend a customer service course for work early in the morning. I had been up late last night working on an essay due for monday and had to get up early this morning because I have to spend 45 min. on the bus to get to where I need to be. It's -25 C without windchill so I bundle up pretty well and leave expecting to be on a bus in 5 minutes.

20 minutes go by and I don't see a single bus until I finally remember, IT'S SATURDAY! This means the bus I normally ride doesn't even start running until an hour and a half after the course starts. Thoroughly freezing I walk a couple blocks to the nearest ATM to take out some cash for a taxi ride. A taxi ride will probably only take 10-15 min. to get to the course so I have enough time to go home for a half an hour. By the time I get home I can't feel my toes or fingers and I am extremely pissed off that I would be booked for a course on a morning when the buses don't run.

I get on my computer to find out what time the buses do start running and I find out that one block up from where I was standing in the cold there is a bus that runs to where I need to transfer, it had been running all morning. After grumbling quite a few choice explitives I realize I'm about 20 minutes too late to catch it now, because I'll never make the transfer in time. So instead I'll end up paying anywhere from $15 to $20 on a cab ride having lost two hours of sleep getting up for the bus and freezing my butt off at 7:45am.

To top it all off I have to spend 6 hours at this bloody course with no lunch provided. I'll end up having to take about an hour and a half riding buses to get back home (because the bus that goes there only runs every half hour and the one I transfer to is another one like that, so I end up taking about an hour to an hour and a half because of the waiting time in between) and when I do finally get home I have to continue working on the essay I didn't finish last night because I have a history essay outline that's due on this upcoming Monday as well.

*sigh* When a day starts off like this, it really makes you wish you would have just stayed in bed...

Dang Stealth, I'm sorry to hear that. But you can always be optimistic and assume the worst has already happened!! :D

Well, tomorrow you'll see a brand new vette sitting in your drive-way. You'll also see a bucket full of $100's and a hott super model in the passenger seat. She's your study partner. 8)

Oh boy, that's classic case of "WTH did I do to deserve this!?!". Just remember that every human goes through a day like that sometime or another, and some more than others. Tonight just try to relax your mind and your body will follow suite. After a good long sleep you should wake up refreshed and ready to take on the challenges, whatever they may be!! I can tell this is a stressful time for you but you should give yourself a pat on the back for doing what you need to do with your life. Hard work always gets rewarded!!

P.S. You are not alone with your bitter weather, I live in Mn and it's about the same temps right now. So I know that even 5 minutes in this stuff is too much! Ugh, hang in there guy.

wow stealth you just couldn't get a break, hopefully it's a one time occurrence

:lol Well thanks for the sympathy guys. I'd actually forgot that I posted this and now being at the end of the day it's definitely interesting to look back at what happened this morning.

Actually it turned out the course I had to go to was a pretty good time. Everyone joked around a lot and our course leader got to get kind pf pissed off at everyone, but that just added to the hilarity that was ensueing. Definitely had some good laughs.

However this essay thing that I've been working on hasn't been going so well. I think there's a good chance I haven't got the format down and it's worth a very hefty percent of my mark. I guess you could say I'm getting my just desserts for procrastinating, and in all honesty I am. Still, I'm in as bad a mood now as I was this morning. Ah well, chalk it up to experience and move on I guess...

:lol That would have been nice. But as Bill Watterson said, "to make a bad day worse, spend it wishing for the impossible."
