So I woke up this morning having only had 5 hours of sleep because I had to attend a customer service course for work early in the morning. I had been up late last night working on an essay due for monday and had to get up early this morning because I have to spend 45 min. on the bus to get to where I need to be. It's -25 C without windchill so I bundle up pretty well and leave expecting to be on a bus in 5 minutes.
20 minutes go by and I don't see a single bus until I finally remember, IT'S SATURDAY! This means the bus I normally ride doesn't even start running until an hour and a half after the course starts. Thoroughly freezing I walk a couple blocks to the nearest ATM to take out some cash for a taxi ride. A taxi ride will probably only take 10-15 min. to get to the course so I have enough time to go home for a half an hour. By the time I get home I can't feel my toes or fingers and I am extremely pissed off that I would be booked for a course on a morning when the buses don't run.
I get on my computer to find out what time the buses do start running and I find out that one block up from where I was standing in the cold there is a bus that runs to where I need to transfer, it had been running all morning. After grumbling quite a few choice explitives I realize I'm about 20 minutes too late to catch it now, because I'll never make the transfer in time. So instead I'll end up paying anywhere from $15 to $20 on a cab ride having lost two hours of sleep getting up for the bus and freezing my butt off at 7:45am.
To top it all off I have to spend 6 hours at this bloody course with no lunch provided. I'll end up having to take about an hour and a half riding buses to get back home (because the bus that goes there only runs every half hour and the one I transfer to is another one like that, so I end up taking about an hour to an hour and a half because of the waiting time in between) and when I do finally get home I have to continue working on the essay I didn't finish last night because I have a history essay outline that's due on this upcoming Monday as well.
*sigh* When a day starts off like this, it really makes you wish you would have just stayed in bed...
