Single Best Game Of Last Gen?

Tough choice, isn't it? I personally feel that last gen was one of the best in gaming history. There's so many amazing games from last gen; Halo, RE4, Metroid Prime, KOTOR, T.O.S, FFX, DQ8, GTA's, Wind Waker, Okami, SH2, God Of War, Kingdom Hearts, ICO, Shadow Of Colossus, Persona 3/4, Ratchet n Clank, MGS 2/3, Paper Mario, and way too many more to list here...So what do ya think, what was your single most favorite game from last gen? And if the choice is just too hard you can do a tie, like myself :D

For me, Halo and FFX are tied. Both are 2 of the greatest games I have ever played and I've put in so many hours into both of them. RE4 is a VERY close second and almost etches out FFX. The whole Castle part of RE4 drug it down a few points, unfortunately, or else it would have probably beat FFX.
 
Resident Evil 4 I would have to say was the best ground-breaking last gen game to really re-invent itself. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater comes extremely close to this as well.

Halo 2 and Chaos Theory for me.

Halo 2
-Good campaign, with co-op (only flaw is no online co-op)
-Incredible multiplayer (tons of options, good maps, well balanced. The amount of games played is an undeniable testament to its greatness)
-Good graphics (not the best the Xbox ever did, but close to it. When you consider all thats going on, the graphics are very nice)

Chaos Theory
-Amazing story and campaign (best in a series of games that have always been VERY good)
-Full fledged co-op campaign (very fun, not a last minute add on. Designed specifically for co-op, with a story that parallels the single player)
-Amazing multiplayer (very unique asymmetrical gameplay was tense, fun, and required lots of teamwork and communication)
-Best graphics the Xbox ever put out (seriously, Chaos Theory looks better than pretty much any 360 game prior to Gears of War, and even then it still looks great today)

Not to mention, the foundation of what Xbox Live was trying to achieve.
 
I really can't choose! MGS2, MGS3, Melee, ToS, GT4, Halo 2, God of War, Jak and Daxter series, Ratchet and Clank series, Final Fantasy X, Ninja Gaiden, Chaos Theory, Shadow of the Colossus, etc. I really can't. And how can I forget Kingdom Hearts and KOTOR?!
 
Yeah, there are a ton of great choices, though if I absolutely had to say one, it would probably be Ratchet and Clank for me. I enjoyed all the different things in the series so much, most of its games have great game play, great story, and a lot of comedic moments.

Tales of the Abyss.

That was the first thing that came to mind, so I'm going with it, although really I think it's my favorite game of last gen rather than the best game of last gen.

i think so too...but idk if i think too much about it i get the headaches XD so i might just copy Mai and go with Tales of the Abyss

Really? What makes you pick that over Symphonia? ...And damn now I regret trading Abyss!
 
Yea 'cause generally reviews for Abyss are lower than Symphonia and seems like most people say Symphonia is the better of the 2.
