So, I bought a Wii today...

I'm so happy they took away the RPG elements. Mario as an RPG? lmaooo. Come on now. :lol

I thought Mario was great as an RPG. TYD was one of the best overall gaming experiences on the Cube and the original was phenomenal on the N64.

Please, we get enough turn-based from Final Fantasy. Anyway, I actually agree with Strubes (oh em gee). Super Paper Mario is the best game on the Wii right now.

Retro - did you make sure that it was synched up? I kept having problems with mine and I found out that it was only temporarily synched with the system instead of synched up normally. I had to manually synch it back up and now it works without a hitch.

Just tried it and it still isn't working. I think the Wiimote might have picked up too much dust or something (leaving it on the floor of my messy room didn't help).

Oh well, I picked up Tomb Raider Aniversary today, so that should keep me going until I get another Wiimote.

I liked the Paper Mario games because the turn based battling actually required you to "time" button presses during your attacks. It wasn't that deep of an element to throw in, but it did make it a less passive RPG to play.

I haven't tried the Wii PM, but I really do want to play it. If they got rid of every RPG battling element, what kind of game is it?

It's a platformer, with some light RPG elements.

So did SSS for GBA.

I just picked up RE4 Wii edition and all I can say is the new controls make this a much better game. Along with SPM and MK Armageddon my Wii is finally getting a thorough workout. My 360 would probably have collected as much dust as my PS2 if it wasn't for Forza 2...
