Sony says no price cut on PS3 until better sales!

*sigh* Again, plenty of people have better things to spend $500. Bills? Food? Rent? Sony targeted the older age group, but they're the group that understands the value of money and have more things to spend it on, as opposed to the younger gamer.

You can make the same argument with $250 and $350 as well. If you look at the latest NPD, you'll see that the price is in no way affecting the PS3 right now. :)

But $250 and $350 are something called lower. And NPD? Not quite. How about total sales? Trailing. It costs a lot of money to buy, a lot of money to develop for, and a lot of money to produce.

Something called lower...but if you're comparing it to bills...you're surely not going to be like..."omg $150 more?! I could use that on bills!". Come on now...get real.

It's not out too early. When competing with HD, it's definitely not out too early. And hey, you're looking at a 10 year cycle right there then. I agree with something Dart said before. If you want a system, save up for it.

there is still features that cant be done on the PS3 blu-ray player or on blu-ray players out in the market features that HD-DVD has had since day 1 Picture-in-Picture video or web-enabled content

We're talking about DVD's redrum, not the TV's. I know you can do the picture-in-picture with HD tvs. :)

i was not talking about TV's :lol

you cant do Picture-in-Picture video or web-enabled content with BLU-ray

well my opinion on this matter is....i don't care of blue-ray i just wanna play the good games on the console, people today care more of the hardware than the software...true the ps3 might not have a whole lot of games right now but as long as it has the ones i'm looking for i'll be happy with it

I think PS3 has quite a number of good games now. I remember when I first got it, I only had Resistance, Genji, and Dark Kingdom, and pretty much had all the games out for it. Now, i can't keep up with the games coming out. I can't wait till 2008, when more will come out.

do you have a reference?

Not....really, but wouldn't everyone have bought it if it was cheaper? The Wii is half the price, and three times the sales, and it came out two days after the PS3. Price is a big deal to people because a lot of people don't want to spend that much on a console.

i was talking with frodus about this it seems thaty hte ps3 has many titles scattered arround 2008, however the 360 has almost none and the wii games most of them come out at the begining of the year, is 2008 the year of the ps3?? probably yes depending of what nintendo and microsoft have under their sleeve

But spending more for a 360 makes sense.
