suggestions for Nintendo in 2008

GTA isn't really that great, IMO. Each one's exactly the same, barring some new weapons/vehicles/locations. Weren't you just talking about all Final Fantasies being the same? :lol

Yeah, but there aren't 13+ GTA games..... ::)

GTAIII on didn't change anything. Final Fantasies have made drastic changes since...well...since the beginning. But this is neither here nor there. Let's stay on topic.

another suggestion for nintendo....show the third party developers how to properly use a wii remote :lol. most of the third party games i own don't have a motion problem but many wii games that look like are gonna be good, fail because the developers jsut make the motions interesting, and usually they are not even that responsive

Agreed. GTA is just unnecessary violence for kids who want to be crooks.

But yeah, a new franchise MADE BY NINTENDO would be awesome. And by a new franchise, I mean I want something of epic proportions. Not something like Pikmin. Pikmin was just so...bleh.

The last time that happened was in.......1985?

They are more concerned with making it easier for old people and toddlers to play video games than about the hardcore gamers themselves. I'm not just saying this. I love the Wii, and this is the truth. This is what Nintendo is doing with it.

yeah dude.. this is cliche already but try to play fire emblem and metroid prime 3 in the highest difficulty (though metroid is not that hard is still an impossible level for an old man) and also the trial galaxyes in mario galaxy.

anyway i think if they make pikmin 3, or make a sequel for kid icarus or make a new IP. if they make at least 2 of these 3 options i will be satifiied with nintendo

a collection of mini-games that u wont buy another copy if they release new ones... yea what a great new IP. I can't see Wii fit doing well in America.

actually frodus... it will.. do you know the rate of obesity in america??? well i think that's gonna affect the sales of wii fit and since a lot of people are very stupid they will buy it.

and well i think wii sports/fit/play/music SHOULD NOT BE CALLED A NEW FRANCHISE :lol

Zidart, we're so fat, half of us would break the balance board the second we step on it. :lol

And I actually agree with Hines. Nintendo is banking on the sales of casual gamers, and third party developers are (for the most part) adjusting the games they're making for the Wii, based on the new audience it's bringing in.

Ok I admit I'm not a big Wii fan as we all well know. But, I think if Nintendo makes a newer IP that will be like this new generations Mario or Legend of Zelda, I'm not necessarily saying it should be geared to the casual or the hardcore but maybe something that will make this new generation have what we have and that is a series that they can grow old with.

wii play as well

all aimed towards kids and a "wide audience"

Why does Nintendo need to cater to your needs? Losing you as a customer wouldn't affect their sales, trust me.

NOT all of them >_> and those games that try to go to casual end up failing (the third party ones)

and cherry i din't mean to insult anyone >_> just the people that think wii fit is gonna be fun exercise for them :lol

Ok, are you happy with the three hardcore games the Wii currently has, or are you content playing Wii Sports?

*sigh* if you really mean it has only 3 then you fail in this generation hines....seriously WHAT you don't hate/complaint about?

WTH?! Nintendo even said Wii is for more casual gamers. For hardcore gamers like us it has a Zelda Gamecube port, a Resident Evil 4 Gamecube port, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy.

And there are a ton of them. The Wii has the most exclusives, but the fewest exclusives, with a Gamerankings average above a 75%. This is because all the horrible licensed games are coming to the Wii, to prey on the average idiot gamer.

Don't get me wrong, appealing to the casual gamer was pure genius, from a marketing stand point, but it can't really suit my needs, as a hardcore gamer anymore, at least not on its own.

Who's insulting? You're telling the truth. :lol

You know, at one point, Nintendo was worried about releasing WiiFit over here because they thought too many people would be too fat for the balance board. :lol

You're right. They have tons of casual sales, to replace Hines'. It doesn't mean Hines or I has to be happy with the direction Nintendo went with their console.
