I'm going to say the same thing I have before

The X-Box is the best console and this is a FACT, I'm not talking abvout games and such.... just the console.

That said, you all know I enjoy debates... *Sigh* I miss Sartori...

Prove it. :p

I think he is jsut saying because of the hard drive, technical specs, ability to put music on your hard drive, and ability to play DVD's puts the actual console above the other consoles. But he is not saying it has better games, controllers, etc

As far as technical specs are concerned, the Gamecube can do anything the Xbox can, but in most cases developers don't push the technology hard enough. If you own a DVD player, stereo, and a memory card or two then you don't need all the bells and whistles of the hard drive. But, admittedly, the Hard drive is convenient and it is a lot nicer to have your music in the actual game, but I actually prefer using a DVD player instead of using an Xbox, and I don't think any of those functions are worth the larger price tag.

I think we're doing fine without him. Sure he added a little conflict to the board, but a lot of times his arguements were actually just tiresome drivel, and it was frustrating how he would argue every single point and never, ever, admit if another person made a good point. I always used that one icon of the smiley face pounding his head on the wall when I debated with Sartori, cuz that's what it felt like.

Alot of people won't/rarely admit another person makes a good point in the arguement over consoles......

Well, actually, the hard drive allows game developers to do neat things. It is not just a big memory card.
fun things like.... making you download updates for a game... and rushing production because they know you can d/l updates.

Mastermario, you're thinking of Xxtreme BBR (not sure about capitalization, # of "x"'s, etc) if I recall correctly. Him and Sartori always duked it out over Nintendo vs. Microsoft, I think they went toe to toe for 4 pages once. Now I would agree with getting Xtreme back, as he added more than just the ability to contradict another person.

You can also get some updates and content via OXM. Plus, being able to get updates allow major bugs/glitches to be fixed. Although Ubisoft is not utilizing that feature for PT........teleporters suck.

I think getting content by downloading it, such as the Ninja Gaiden downloads, is pretty cool. I don't think they should release buggy games because they can fix em with downloadable updates though.

Downloadable content is kind of like a catch 22 for me. Sure it's great to get new maps and vehicles or characters and stuff via downloads, but if you don't pay for the online service, don't you feel just a little cheated that it wasn't in the game when you bought it?
