No Neph. Your opinions don't mean squat here because you use them for only one reason and that's to flame people that like Nintendo. I'd say this was a pretty open forum for anyone's opinion on ANYTHING, but quite frankly it seems that you only post to act like a jack-***.

I would have to agree with Retro on this one. Of course, I'll probably get a reply along the lines of "That's to be expected since you're such a Nintendo fangirl."

If Neph posted nice happy things in the PS2 forum (which would be kinda logical since he likes the PS2) instead of posting flames in the GC forum, I'm sure he wouldn't feel like people were against him. If he posted more nice happy things in the PS2 forum I would have more reason to look forward to his posts, anyway.

I just don't understand why Neph constantly posts in the GC forum and then complains that the PS2 forum isn't active...well, it's because he's always in the GC forum! Arguing with us about why we shouldn't like Nintendo for one reason or another. Sorry, but that's the wrong forum for that! Of course if you start bashing Nintendo in the Nintendo forums you're going to get shotdown by Nintendo fans. Logic!

Neph is definitely capable of posting topics that don't end up in flame wars, but he seems unwilling to as of late. It's not like I have something against Neph...we actually agree on a few things...we are both for Kerry...we both still like Square Enix games (I think?) but it drives me crazy when I see Neph post in any of the Nintendo forums because I know I'm just going to read some negative remark. It's nice when Neph actually posts in the PS2 forum and I can read that without worrying about negativity.

I hate talking about him like he's not here, for some reason it seems rude.

I like Neph's posts, if for no other reason than to argue about one thing or another. But his latest spree of posts managed to actually aggrivate me, which doesn't happen that often. I wish we could all just get along again, and actually argue over something with merit. Maybe things will settle down, and I hate to say it but I think at this point Neph's gonna have to take the first step.

Don't you find it telling though that instead of checking out the latest posts that he missed while he was away and posting positively within them, Neph managed to find only posts that he could disagree with?

Why weren't there any posts in the threads in the PS2 forum that have been active lately? There's a pretty lively discussion about GTA and GT4. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne finally came out. Why no post about that?

Instead he comes back with stuff that he knows will start trouble.

Why would you get a Cube in the first place?

It has Baten Kaitos and Metroid Prime.
And neither of them are going to sell as well as GTA, GT4, Halo2 or Half Life 2.

As for 2005 - it will be the year of the PS2.

February alone has *nine* games alone that make anything on the LC look like trash.

Me too - which is why I own a PS2. The statement above just proves that Nintendo doesn't listen to its fans.

That's why they're third and will continue to be until they're bankrupt.

You think I'm immature? Well screw you then. Try going to a Sony board sometime posting about the Lamecube and see how many responses you get. I tried endless times to start topics which promptly died. It's not a question of disagreeing - it's a question of getting shouted down every time I tried to make a point about Nintendo's business practices. It seems like it's a cardinal sin here to say anything bad about Nintendo.
Yet it's perfectly alright to go on and on about Sony and how THEY rehash everything and how THEIR systems are unreliable. It's like a cult in here.

I'm not a hardcore Nintendo fan. :) Like I said, I have a GBA, but very little interest in the Cube. My roomie has an Xbox and a PS2 that I play quite often too.

I'm a fanboy of video games. I don't pick and choose, I take whatever has the most amount of games that I want. That's why I picked PS2 first, then Xbox. I never followed the GC, so I'm outta the loop for what games it has.

My opinion doesn't mean squat here because I like Sony more than Nintendo.

Neph, you're starting to sound like my firends little brother, who boasts every win and whines about every loss.

Let me put it this way, you think like that, I'll treat you like that.  If you insist it's everybody vs. you, then it will certainly seem that way.

Here's another bit of info:

Mai just recently posted things from what I believe are from the GC boards.  Provided they are from the GC boards, you are going to get knocked down.

Lets do this in reverse now.  If I was to come into the PS2 and talking about "all it has is lame rehashes" this and "it sucks" that, then I'm willing to bet there's gonna be a 95% that you'll be along attacking what I just said.  Not only that, but you probably won't look any different from anyone else here.

Did the thought ever come to your mind that perhaps not everyone here hates the PS2, and maybe, just maybe we like the GC a bit more than it?  It is possible you know.

I can say that from my 1 year and about 3-4 months of coming to Game Addict's, this has been one of the fairest message boards that i've ever been to. People here don't "gang-up" on other members, but each person has a choice to debate against certain comments that they disagree with.

Think about that Neph, the very fact that so many people are against what you're saying speaks for itself.
No, it's not because we hate Sony and love Nintendo. It's because you're wrong.

I have to admit, if I hadn't so avidly followed the Gamecube from it's inseption, there probably wouldn't have been much motivation for me to get a GC. All I ever hear about is PS2 and Xbox games, unless I actually go out of my way to find out the latest news with Nintendo. I always wondered what system I'd have gone with if I didn't go to sites like IGN to find out what games were coming out for what systems.

I have to agree with stealth on that as well. Before I moved to my new home up here in the Albany area, I had my heart set on a PS2. My neigbor, also a good friend also liked video games as much as I, perhaps more. After he showed me his GC collection, and showed me everything else he had (which included about 6 systems, my family always sold our last system to get another one). I saw all the games he had, which included Pikmin, Star Wars: Rouge Squadron, and above all, SSBM. Seeing all this forced me to get a Jet Black GC bundled with MP, and got Animal Crossing and SSBM. It was a good day for all. :D

In short, it was my best friend that motivated me for all the great games on the GC. His collection is nearly 30 something, and mine has barely topped 12...

I generally jump back and forth from console to console depending on what games I am playing at the moment.

Right now I'm hooked on my PS2 playing Katamari Damacy and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I also picked up a demo of Killzone because I've heard really good things about it and I want to try it out for myself.

In between PS2 games I'm working through Paper Mario on the N64 and Pokemon Fire Red on the GBA.

Basically, I'm trying to cram as much non XBOX time in as possible, since I know Halo 2 will take much of my focus once it comes out. :D
