Now that just annoys the hell out of me. They gave me a thrown together 8 hour main quest, then make me pay for the second half of it through DLC? Come on....

I agree. Unfortunately, this is becoming a growing trend in games today. I wouldn't mind them releasing the game a month or two later with all of this added content. What's sad, is Fallout 3 will get "GOTY" from some magazine or website, then release a bundle of the game with these "expansions" for $60 when the main game has fallen to $40 or so.

This wouldn't have happened if Black Isle was still on the series. They actually cared about the games they made, beyond how much money they would get out of it. >_>

Such an amazing game fall out 3 is. I heard the other two werent that great though. but i rented out Fall out 3, and it was totaly awesome!!!

The other two were pretty slow by today's standards, but I would argue that they created a more persistent and more immersive (especially 2), using technology 10 years behind that of Fallout 3, none the less.

Awesome screen shots of Operation:Anchorage. Which will be ready later this month for 800 MS Points ($9.99)

Bethesda released new screens today for Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage DLC, along with announcing how high it'll raise the game's level cap with the third DLC pack, Broken Steel, planned for March. The new Operation Anchorage screens (which can be viewed in the gallery below) reveal a ninja suit, a snowy lake landscape and a commie Chinese bunker. The DLC pack is scheduled for release later this month at 800 ($10, 50 caps or 100 pieces of scrap metal).

Bethesda also informed Eurogamer that Broken Steel will raise the player's level cap to 30. We'd previously known that the bump was happening, but had no idea how high. Patient folks may care to wait and see if a discount happens on the packs down the line. As for us, well... that ninja armor looks like it might be worth $10 to put on.

Awesome..congrats.

I played about 10 hours or so of it..I'll wait till I finish some of my other games before I jump onto this one and finish it.

25 Hours for me

I think I hit the 40 hour mark, or at least came close. I was still unbelievably disappointed with the main story. It should have been about 5-10 hours longer than it was.

Fallout games are designed for replayability, which is why there's a level 20 cap.

So that's why I went back and before facing the final task, I said "Screw this!" and walked out to do my own thing. Last night, I completed 2 more quest, finished Miora Brown's odd jobs. Now I'm off to STEAL INDEPENDENCE!
