The offical FALLOUT 3 Thread

can someone plz help me im stuck trying to find the G.E.C.K. i started to go get it and knew where it was but i went away and did sum other things around the wasteland and when i came back to it i forgot where it is and how to find it again. :? any help would be appreciated :D
 
The GECK? Vault 106 I believe. Faux will be in that Vault to help you (depending on your Karma)

Bethesda releases another update patch for "THE PITT" dude to many freezing issues still. Hopefully, this will do the trick.
 
Thnx for the help, i cant remember where it is but i should find it. also anyone know why i cant go past lvl 20 on XP?

That's the level cap for now. The next expansion, "broken steel" will increase it to 30.
 
im sorry i need help again, i searched all through vault 106 but couldnt find the G.E.C.K. what is it and where is it? is it in the Living quarters, Science Lab, Overseers Office Where????? and what is it anyway is it a data file on a computer? a book? what? and please dont tell me you need the supossed survivor......cuz she kinda attacked me and i blew her head off with the shotty.... any help appreciated its driving me crazy!!!
 
I borrowed this game from a friend (who has not asked for it back... his bad. ;) ) and I can't get into it at all.

It sits on my shelf.

Anyone feel like motivating me to play it? :(

I feel your pain. I did a few missions and visited a few places after I made it out of the Vault..but I found the game to be pretty boring.
 
I dunno why I'm addicted to it. I'm still shocked I actually played over 150 hours into it. I haven't spent that much time with a game, since World of Warcraft back in 2005 O.o
 
Broken Steel update

May 5th the Broken Steel expansion is released for 800 MS Points.

What it will do, increase the level cap to 30, no more ending, and finally a way to bring back your dog, Dogmeat, if he's been killed!

The new content starts about two weeks after the events of Fallout 3's main quest, opening up in the Capital Wasteland by Project Purity, which is now up and running. Your dad would be proud!

OMG for someone who hasn't gotten very far in the game..this post sure has a few spoilers! :lol
 
Wake up boys and girls it's me, THREE DAWG!! OOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! Hellooooooo chiildren! Looks like Broken Steel is coming this TUESDAY, May 6, 2309! (2009 in retrospect). Get your $10 worth of bottle caps ready, because the game is coming to completion!
 
It's really broken.

Broken Steel Expansion is having serious issues on the PC edition. Causing a recall and a freeze to the game. 360 users are facing the problem of not even getting a single achievement!
 
Fallout 3 DLC finally coming to PS3 in June & Two new DLC for 360, PC, and PS3 later this summer

Bethesda has announced that those Fallout 3 DLC packs that Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying for the last few months will be heading to the PS3 starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June. The other two DLC packs, The Pitt and Broken Steel will be released four to six weeks apart. A patch will be released for the game in order to make these DLC packs work with the PS3 version of the game. All release dates are yet to be nailed down.

In addition, two new DLC packs have been announced and will be heading to both platforms. Point Lookout, as revealed by retailers earlier this month, will feature a massive swampland area to explore and in Mothership Zeta you'll suffer through an alien abduction. These packs will be available on Xbox 360 and PC starting late June and on PS3 once the first three have been released.

If you don't have an internet connection (huh?) these packs can still be obtained through two new disc-based packages for Xbox 360 and PC. The first -- containing Anchorage and The Pitt -- will be available in June in Europe and May 26 in the US, with the second containing the rest of the DLC in August worldwide. A GOTY version of Fallout 3 will be available in October for PS3, 360 and PC, which will include all five add-on packs.


Awesome! Thank goodness the PS3 users aren't left to die in the wastelands :D

I feel your pain. I did a few missions and visited a few places afterwards I fabricated it out of the Vault..but I begin the bold to be appealing boring.
 
I'm really tempted to start playing this since I've been watching one of my housemates play it. But to be honest the gray is kind of monotonous. It's always gray, even during the day. I mean it's because it's post apocalyptic and all, but...I dunno, it's very weird after playing games where there's a larger color pallet.
