The PS3 has been robbed!!!

That's true, some people just don't like TP, that's understandable, I'm cool with that because most people have reasonable information to back up that statement other than "TP sucks" or "it was too easy". That's what grinds my gears.

If it was too easy, that is a good complaint. Although no voice-overs, cut scenes were terrible....etc....but we're getting off topic.

There's supposedly a ton of games ready for the PS3 to be shipped, but the developers are waiting for the fan base to grow before they send them over.

I have a 360 and a PS3. So, it does not matter to me who gets what games. I like my Rainbow Six: Vegas and Gears of War on the 360 and I cannot wait for Lair on the PS3 and I actually really like Resistance and Genji.

Well that's some bad logic there. They are holding games until more people buy the system, but the reason people aren't buying the system is because there aren't enough games. Do you see the problem with this? If that really is the case then the PS3 is going to have a lot of trouble.

Meh, the PS2 didn't start getting great games until 2002. I guess I'm just patient so I don't see what the big deal is yet, still having fun with the previous gen.

I think everyone needs to have a more "Open Mind".  There are the Sony Fanboys, Nintendo Fanboys, and the Microsoft Fanboys.  Then there are the ones, like me, that like all them.  I use to hate Sony, but I do like the PS3.  I always loved my Xbox and now my 360.  I have a Gamecube and had a Wii, but liked it only for Wii Sports (so I sold it, but I am sure I will buy it again later this year).  So, I do not think anyone got "Robbed", I just think that companies want to make the most money they can and being exclusive to one system is just plain bad business.

What about the people who hate every console? :lol

sony deserves it, they stole analog, motion sensing, and rumble from nintendo, and noone made a big deal over it.

i think its funny as heck to see the ps3 fail like this.

After Nintendo broke a contract with Sony. I doubt that you know that the SNES sound processing was done by Sony hardware or that the Playstation was initially supposed to be an SNES add-on like the Sega CD was to the Genesis.

Neither Nintendo nor Sony wanted to deal with legalities, so they got back at each other in other ways.

problem of NOT having exclusives... there is no reason to buy one system over another other than other system features.

I am going against the grain here.... EVERY system needs exclusives. That's why they fight so hard for them. It is essential. Exclusives may not be the "be all end all" But they sure help a console keep it's customer base.

†B†V† :hat

People buy systems for a "killer app" more than features. Example, Windows sold so much better than early Apple computers because of the Office Suite, Microsoft Works etc...

If games are between systems, then system features would be the most important thing. To my knowledge, Nintendo would lose out big time there. Sony has a very advanced system in the PS3. At this point, they have few games that could qualify as a killer application though.

Absolutely. Games should be judged on their own merits, not because they are part of a franchise or appear on a certain machine. I don't care what name is on the box, I only care about the gameplay. I think people who rush out and pay a fortune for a new console feel the need to justify that purchase with fierce fanboyism. If you're smart (and broke like me) you wait until the price drops, the bugs are worked out and some good games finally start to appear. That way you can buy multiple consoles and pick and chose the best games for each.

Pinning all of your hopes on one system often leads to disappointment. I remember spending all of my money on a new N64 and then wishing I had bought a PlayStation instead. $79.95 for South Park?! >:(

Things could be worse. There was a time when consoles only played one game.

It's true. It's been confirmed by several different game producers. It is really sad.

Watch it for years I was strictly a PC gamer and I still prefer that format mostly because of my love for strategy games. ::D

It's funny. I buy all the consoles, but still cannot afford to buy the type of PC I would want to play games on. The consoles just are so much cheaper in that aspect, but with the PC you get what you pay for and you can get a really nice one.

Yeah. I have the exact same problem. I used to love playing P.C games, but I never had the money for a new P.C. If you wanna go for a 2 or 3 thousand dollar computer, you can probably get a better gaming experience, but consoles are just so much cheaper. 8)

There were a TON of mediocre Mario games, but what the hell mediocre Zelda games are you talking about? The worst one was Majora's Mask and that still pwned. The GameCube Zelda games were awesome (windwaker and TP) and the N64 ones wer awesome too (Ocarina of Time, the best game EVER, and Majoras mask)
Majora's Mask as worst? Yeah, right. Zelda II is worst and that's still playable.

All Zelda's were terrible. But how'd we stray so far away from the topic?

PS3 has some solid games coming out in the next couple years. I'm pretty excited.

Yeah, and they waste it on graphics instead of the actual game. PS3 has good games coming out in a few years? Okay, I'll believe that. No one's doubting that. It's the idea of making it a few years.

Exclusivity doesnt exist anymore. FF 13 will be stolen. KH will probably appear on another console. Face it ppl. The games are shared. NO ONE LIKES SHARING!! :P
