you go to one forum where somebody expresses interest in the controller early in the thread and the replies applaud the new design. Here everyone is skeptical. let me just say this- videogame controllers are the only two handed interfaces in technology. ipods, cell phones, tv remotes, mouses, even digital cameras are too small to be comforatble to hold with two hands. The full 3 dimensionality of movement is something all controlers to date have been incapable of. in addition the simplicity of control afforded by this controller will greatly soften the learning curve, requiring less prior experience and coordition to play the games. its impossible to really see how the revolution will fare in the markets but at least its distinctive. skepitcal is fun but think of it like alchohol- tastes like crap at first but then you figure out what its good for. then again im not sure of the ages of the participants on this forum so maybe it was a moot analogy.
whats progress in videogames anyways? i believe its realism. and from that warrant lies the true power of this controller. better graphics arent as real as 3 dimensions. (think starfox)
PS nintendo invented the Dpad. bet there were lots of people partial to the joy stick, shouting herecy back then too.
