the only exclusive that i don't like for the ps3 is little big planet, it just don't grab my attention, it reminds me of pikmin

I think that's why I like it, actually. Although I think you were talking to Zidart. :)

I guess I really am part of the demographic the Wii is aiming for. Kind of on the edge of hardcore and casual. Someone who can enjoy Gears of War and then turn around and have fun with Rayman Raving Rabbids. :lol

Metroid Prime 3. Not a game for casual players. It's a niche franchise even among hardcore gamers.

Although it will be a good game, I don't see how it's hardcore at all. Especially for the genre.

Alright. People complain about the difficulty of Prime 2, Prime 3 is supposed to be just slightly easier, difficulty helps make hardcore games. You have to be able to think about things to beat it, also helps hardcore. The controls. Like a PC. Hard to name a PC shooter that's not hardcore...least for me. That doesn't really affect Prime, though. Uh, not having minigames. Hardcore. That's right. The size. Six hours being 13%, huge. And that's actually through the game, not items. I'll think of more. Oh, one more. People actually like it. Killzone 1, not so much. Killzone 1, hardcore. Prime 3, better than Killzone 1, more hardcore. I'm just rambling now.

EDIT: Gears is tactical shooter, those are hardcore.

well, how is gears of war hardcore?

Oh where do I begin. Although blood and guts don't make a game, nor does swearing, Gears of War has plenty of both. :lol
Also, fighting off three Locust holes at one time is intense. Also, the ability for Multiplayer coop online or off. It's just a hardcore game in general. 8)

@fhq...I'm not really seeing anything in that, that would warrant MP 3 being Hardcore. Killzone was a ton more hardcore than MP3 ever could hope to be, being its respective genre. Come on now, I would think you'd know better than that. :lol

I don't see why it isn't hardcore, and at least I have(albeit mostly crappy) reasons.

We've gone through this, they have a bunch more action in this one because of the easier controls. Hell, the whole first planet and the starting ship is extremely high action, but then again, action doesn't make a game hardcore. What seems to is only people able to think can play it, not some random five year old.

EDIT: Hmm, sounds like I'm saying five year olds can't think. You know what I mean.

See, this is why people think you're anti-Nintendo. I don't see how Metroid is any less hardcore than Gears. Especially given you didn't even like Metroid, so how much of it did you actually play to assume that there's no "intense" moments in it like "fighting off three Locust holes at one time"?

As for online, there are plenty of hardcore games that aren't. Bioshock, anyone? :)

Oh Mai. I understand this is a bit of a touchy subject on your beloved Metroid Prime. Just because I don't like it, I'm anti-Nintendo? What a baseless point. If you can't see why Gears is more hardcore than Prime, I don't think there's any helping you. I mean, here at Nintendoaddicts.com, I'm pretty much shooting myself in the foot, so I guess I'll just leave this topic alone from now on. Nothing good can come from it. ;D
