But I dont think it works that way on the 3DS, does it?
I thought that the "3D" was actually advanced depth perception or something like that?

Good question-- not sure actually. I'm wondering too because I've always had trouble seeing stuff with 3-D glasses and I've NEVER been able to see the images in stereograms, so I'm wondering if I'll be able to see it right and if it will strain my eyes in longer-term play. I really, really want to see it in person.

Aw drat... that cross-eyed thing is what you have to do for seeing the images in stereograms and I've never been able to do it. :-\ It looks like I'll definitely have to wait to see it in person. However, they say the 3-D effect can be turned off so if I can't take advantage I can still enjoy the games I guess.

Well Nintendo is famous for keeping that date set and will have the rest of the world scrambling like kids after golden tickets to get into Willy Wonka's factory just to find out sooner. I say, Good Luck! Nintendo will seize the day on Sept 29th.

I could say the same since I bought my PS3 when it was $600, but I'm a little weary of buying new consoles. I'm gonna hold off a bit and see what the failure rate is and what problems. If it costs too much, I'm not going to risk it.

lol, I know. I want it too, but I try to take a step back and analyze purchases now. Nothing wrong with being hyped though. I've heard great things.

Yea I understand, and that's the smart thing to do! Thing is, I have not bought one modern console this gen {well, my DS Lite} and I have not splurged on anything game related in a really long time. So, this is one of those things were I'm just gonna go all out and not worry about the consequences

Nintendo's usually very good with quality products as it is, but I'd at least get the extended service plan on a 3DS if you're willing to splurge from the get go. It may seem like a bit much at first, but it's usually good for 2-3 years so it's always nice to have around in the off chance you get one that breaks or malfunctions.
