I understand the Prez isn't allowed to go hogwild like Stalin,but what's the point of being the President if you have to clear it with the House and Senate.doesn't that kind of minimize his authority?

And uh, how much did Bush put us in debt? Not to mention all the other problems related to an absolutely pointless war. I never said Obama was perfect. I wouldn't expect anybody to be given the mess we're in.
 
once Obama does something to get rid of DOMA and of "don't ask don't tell" or all that anti-same-sex-marriage stuff i'll be satisfied, i understand the war and the economy is a difficult problem but come on =_=U.

Hmm doesn't seem heated to me, Meecrob. We are just expressing opinions and of course people are going to have different ones. It's never personal on my end :)

I made a mistake on the quote when I said "What does that mean in English"?
I was referring to the post I made in "Playstation 1&2 section,with respect to reasonable prices for "PS2 and "Memory Cards".My bad.

and everyone has a right to have their own opinion and political beliefs. that's what makes this country great. but even though some people don't take it personal, some do. and i've been in many forums where small political topics turn into pages and pages of discussion.. and i avoid that haha.

Yea that's true, just like Religious discussions. But...honestly this forum is quite different. We've been able to have multiple page Religious and political discussions in the past with absolutely no flaming.

I think a large part of the reason Obama is coming as good as he is apperance wise is because of the birthers and the people who brought the guns to the town hall meetings with extremist like that it's pretty easy to discredit those of us in right wing who do have legitmite concerns about govt. spending, govt. control health control, the recent surge of govt involvement in the private sector, ect.
