Who are your favorite SSBB characters to use?

I honestly don't see how his side smash is cheap. It's powerful, yeah, but you have to be up close in his face to get hit by it, so it evens out.

i agree with that... it's not cheap i was able to evade it and it leaves snake completely vulnerable, and even though the missile is strong (it killed me when i was using lucas... i understimate it XD) it's too slow.

ups i thought you were talking about the missile XD.... but heck the side smash of snake is so slow that you can just move away before it hits.... it's strong but slow (looks at all heavy characters).
 
yeah snake has like no range with his side smash. anyway, my favs are meta knight, link, and ike. i try to change it up online to get a feel for a few different charecters, but i usually end up picking one of those three

I prefer neither to tell you the truth. Samus got nerfed big time. I thought Zero Suit would have some good moves though. :-\
 
Zero Suit is incredibly cheap at the start of the match, seeing as her armor appears in pieces and the user gets to throw them at the opponent. >_>
 
I only used Samus in the SSE, and that's only because I'm half decent with dealing damage to bosses with her. I'm not very good with her at all in multiplayer. =/
 
Samus is really effective against Ridley. I don't know if it's because they're from the same game, but I had a lot of trouble fighting Ridley without Samus.

Zero Suit has some amazing moves. She can use her recovery multiple times in midair, which saved me more than once with kirbyrockz. Also, her down special gets you behind the opponent while damaging them.

So catch them when they get thrown. :/ It's good practice.

Yeah, Ridley was probably designed around Samus' moves.
 
I destroyed all bosses with Sonic...he'd just destroy people with his aerial attacks, then after I was done, I'd just use my up/B attack to fly over the boss while they attacked. I made it through boss rush on Hard with him suffering no damage till my 4th fight. :)
 
ike and lucas are becoming one of my new mains... and this shows how different characters feel from brawl... before slow characters were no no to me but ike and lucas sure are powerful and have some good attacks
 
I like Lucas, Toon Link, and Kirby. Lucas is third. Kirby is my main.
 
I've really changed a lot in preferences during the last month...right now, though, I think I'm set.

In-person tournaments/same-Wii matches/online 3-4 player battles: Marth. I don't play him 1v1 online, though, since I'm far better on same-Wii games with him and I don't want to wreck my spacing too badly. 3-4 player battles online are just for fun, so I really don't care about spacing during them and thus don't worry about it as much.

Online 1v1s -- Sheik. She's amazing... that is, without items. :p Her light weight makes items hurt. Badly.

XD Of course it does, but not just you. You merely were part of what made me realize it. I've learned as much from experience; I'm not one to call a grudge to the point of defaming my favorite character over a couple of fun matches. :P

BTW, you up for some matches tonight? I'd love to do no-item if that's cool... no bragging rights, just for pure fun.
 
I'm a big fan of ROB and Snake. ROB for more serious matches, and Snake for mildly less serious matches, or if ROB's not cutting it.

I just love Snake's C4. Best move in the game IMO.
 
Kirby has been my favorite character since the N64 version.
My second favorite would probably be Pit, the Snake, then samus, then fox.
