Final Fantasy X

I like the game cuz I can fight weird creatures. The Blitzball game is irritating and seems almost out of place.

Yeah, I do agree that blitzball seems sorta out of place. I don't really think it fits in well with the game. I mean, all through Spira there's a whole bunch of small, I'd almost say primitive villages and in one town, there's this big high-tech blitzball stadium. *shrug* I don't know, just seems sort of weird to me.

Okay so now I'm stuck again. Or maybe I'm not and I only think I am. I am currently on the Djose Highroad, and I almost get to the end and three Bombs pop up. Each one has the first turns in the battle, and they all wipe out my guys in one shot. Is there a way to avoid them??
Also, as in other RPGs that I have played, there were item shops and weapons shops. I have yet to find one on FFX. Am I not looking in the right place??

Yeah, there have been weapon and item shops, you're just not looking in the right place. ;)

I think there was 1 items shop in Besaid, there was an item and weapon shop in Killika, and in Luca, there's some wandering merchant guy.

I've never had a problem with bombs, so I don't know what to tell you there. :?

Time to power level!!!

Seems like I should just start over then. I seems to have missed a lot of stuff. Maybe if I better equip the party, then I'll actually enjoy the game more than I already do.

Final Fantasy X is the best $14 you can spend on a PS2 game. If you like FFX you will love FFVII. I know it's pretty old but it's still a great game.

Yeah VII is still my favorite. Great game. When I have free time I might pick X up.

X is the second best out of the series. The graphics are some of the best I have ever seen in a video game I don't care what the Halo fanboys say. Also, it has the most innovative level up system ever in any game. The story is amazing. But VII is just barely better.

I posted this in the other thread, but i thought I should here too

Hmm Thats interesting. I have this game, and I know it got rated very well on Gamespot, but I never got a chance to get far in this game. I think Im going to have to restart this game one day and lay it through. A lot of people love this game, I need to give it a fair chance.

By the way, Welcome to the Boards.

I dont know how you guys can get "stuck" on Final Fantasy X. I owned Final Fantasy X. My three main characters were Tidus, Auron, and Wakka. Through the game I barely used any Magic or Aeons. I had the ultimate set up with all of my weapons and armor. Tidus Auron, and Wakka all had Alchemist, Auto-Potion, Auto-Pheonix, Auto-Protect, and Auto- Haste. I didnt need any HP, Str, or Def pluses on any of their equipment. All of them learned all of the strongest Magic spells like Holy, Ultima, and Flare. All of them new Cure, Cura, and Curaga along with all of the other spells. All of them new Mug. And with the Auto-Potions. I always had 99 Mega-Potions so everytime one of them uses auto-potion they all recieve 4000 HP whenever he gets hit. And I always had Mega-Pheonixes so "if" two of them die they both get revived with one turn with full HP.

My Favorite FF is VII because of the Magic system with the Materia. I dont know about you guys but I though that was the best magic system they came up with. I liked it because by the time I got to Junon I already have my lvl 2 spells and almost my lvl 3 spells. My favorite Materia was Added Effect. I played with that materia so much. Trying different combonations, seeing what would work best. I like Added Effect-Conatin best. You can Stop, Petrify, and Confuse them all at once.

I didn't get stuck per se. I got wiped out on in one shot by those Bombs before I could counterattack. And being that FFX is just one of a few RPGs that I have been playing lately, I have yet to invest any time into it since. I only said I was going to start over because I missed a lot of things that were relavant to the game play. It's a great game. It won't be a chore for me at all in getting back to where I currently am. I just think the game will be better if I started again and explored a bit more.

I know what you are talking about Dart. Thats what I need to do too. I think I need to start over and spend more time on the game rather then play it for an hour and switch back and forth between other games.

Yea, I'm about 80 hours into it...and I've started over twice cause I used to switch between games and get lost when the story would change. I'm at the party where I have to fight Sin's head and he's kicking the $@%! outta me! Anyone have any suggestions on how to beat this guy?!?! :-\

BUMP! Bringing back some old topics never hurt anyone. :)

How far are u into it aleeock? like, what part? I just started a new one, I'm 9 1/2 hours into it.

It feels like I am about a million hours into it. But I haven't yet made another attempt at Seymour.

FFX amazing game in my opinion! The story seems to lag a little bit at the end which is unfortunate, but it is still amazing. And how about that Japanese Death metal music for the final aoen battle! haha
