Gamecube

Yes. But then after you that are obligated to get an NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA Nintendo DS, Virtua Boy and every game that comes with them. Then while you're at it, you might as welll go get a Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, and a Sega Game Gear. And if you get those, why not get a PS1 and PS2. You should throw in an Xbox for good measure. Get crackin'. That's a tall order to fill. :D
Um, did I miss something? I want a Cube too...

If you get a Gamecube (which you should... right now there's a SSBM bundle for sale at a lot of places), make sure you do NOT get Pokemon Channel. It's not even a game, really... you just watch Pikachu grab a remote and buy stuff.

Oh wow. Nintendo has finally run out of pokemon ideas.

Nah. They'll reach the bottom when they release a game where you feed Pikachu potato chips while he sits on the couch getting ever larger. And the object is to get his cholestorol as high as possible without killing him. :D

Well, today my wife told me that she wanted to get me a Cube for Christmas. I asked, "Well, are you gonna get me the DS too??" She said, "Nope. One or the other."

I really want a DS, but should I get a Cube instead and wait and hope that I'll get the DS for my Birthday??

I understand that the Rev will be out next year. But if it's an arm and a leg, then I won't be able to get it for a while.

What should I do?? My wife said it's my choice...

Well the GC has a lot more games on it, but the DS is still being supported. Look at the games and see which ones you would like to play.

I would say the DS, because it is still fairly new and has lots of good games and potential.

But the GC still has lots of support though, not sure what you mean there. The new Legend of Zelda is probablly going to revive a bit of interest.

True I forgot about that game. What I meant was that once the REV comes out then the GC is pretty much dead but the DS was still be going strong.

You're absolutely right. But then again if I get a GC soon, I'll be starting fron scratch anyways. I'll still have the selection that everyone else had while it was still being supported, and they will all still be new to me. The only thing that would make this a smart move for me would be if the Rev was $250+, which I think it will be. Now, if the Rev came out with a rediculously low $100-150, then I'd be an idiot for buying a GC.

As for the DS, there's no question that I will have one soon. I need to get a mainstream handheld so I can get games easier. Besides, the DS looks way cool.

Thats why in my first post I said to take a look at the games and see which ones "blow your skirt up". :lol That should help your decision.

*Bumps*

Okay instead of making a new topic about this question, I'll just use this one instead.

I saw a refurbished Cube at Gape Stop the other day for $59. Would this be a wise investment?? I mean, being that it was broken and new guts were put in, it may last longer than the rumored four year lifespan.

I can't bring myself to buy a new one for $100 being that the Rev is rumored to be just around the corner. So should I shell out $60 for the refurbished unit??

I say, if you have patience, wait until E3 in May. Everything about the Revolution will be revealed, or at least a lot more info. That way you'll know if the Rev is the one you should get.
