Just like if you see a white woman killing a lot of people using a samurai sword just because she and everyone she loved got more or less killed in her wedding, you wouldn't call her a samurai. But she is still quite cool. ;)
 
I like in splinter cell 3 when two guys in the Japan lev are talking about ninjas. When you capture one he’s is SO! exited about being captured by a ninja. Even if you threaten to kill him he is so sooo happy to see a ninja

Also how do we know that ninjas werent advanced maybe they just chose to use more simplistic weaponry? Plus I dont think the pirates are good shots anyways. They will just shoot at the ninja until they run out of bullets.

did you forget... ;pirates are great sword fighters.

Its a different type of sword fighting... but they are good at close combat as well.. They have to be tough. They OPENLY raided ships.

Ok I must confess. I have dedicated the past 12 years of my life getting studying martial arts. The movie Beverly Hills Ninja is actually a true story, for I am the great white ninja. I must rid the world of all pirates. Blackbeard killed my father when I was only a few days old. I have sworn my vengence on Blackbeard and all pirates everywhere.

Haha, just kidding..... or am i?
 
Ninjas.

Ninjas have Ninja Gaiden. (Then again they also have Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex :()

And what do Pirates have? "Pirates!", or "Pirates of the Caribbean"? :P
 
Ninjas also have Cy Girls, but we can't hold that against them, can it? :lol
 
No, the coolest ninja has got to be from Metal Gear Solid, you know, Grey Fox. He had the best ninjitsu moves of them all. And by the way, the thing about pirates being good swordfighters is b.s. Now think of it this way... what are the requisites needed to becoming a pirate? Not much, all you have to have is a love for the sea and a love for booty. (Pun intended) And what does it take to become a ninja? Years and years of training, strong-will, natural slickness, a cool sash, and ablt to throw shruikens with ease. See the difference?
 
Just don't give me Metal Gear Pirate. ;D But yeah, I liked that ninja from MGS. To bad MGS2 and 3 are really bad, though.

But on the topic, when was the last time you saw a great (or even good) ninja movie? Pirates have the Caribean movie (and a sequel in a while), but what do ninjas have except a cameo in Last Samurai? (and that movie was really bad).

Ya right, I doubt anyone here could last 2 seconds on a pirate ship. Ninjas are bound by a moral code and honor and all that, whereas pirates can and will do whatever they want. They're total bad@$$es. You gotta be made of some tough mettle to last on a pirate ship.

There are loads, you just have to look for Japanese ones.
