Official Halo 3 General Discussion

I'm going to be playing Halo 3 most of the day today if anyone wants to play.

Specifically, I'd really like to go through Cortana and get the meta-game Achievement. It's too frustrating by myself, though, so I'm hoping someone will co-op with me.
 
Today I finally got the "We're in for some chop!" Achievement. Took out a Chopper on Tsavo Highway with a trip mine. It was fun. :D

It sucks that everyone on my Buddy List has moved on to other games now. When I want to do matchmaking I have to either do Lone Wolves by myself, or Team Slayer with a bunch of strangers. :-\ Either way I realized I'll probably never hit 20, so I do my best but I don't stress anymore. If I win cool, if not, that's cool too.

Well i can help, I still have the game, I haven't really moved on. I just need to get rid of Guitar Hero lol
 
These are the Achievements I still need to get:
Killing Frenzy
Maybe Next Time Buddy
Mongoose Mowdown
Orpheus
Overkill
Reclaimer
Steppin' Razor
Two for One

I have most of the campaign achievements. I just need the meta-game achievements from the Cortana (Orpheus) and Halo (Reclaimer) levels.

All the other Achievements I have left are lone wolves achievements, and I will probably never get them unless I boost or lose games on purpose trying to get them. For example, on a King of the Hill match on Snowbound, instead of trying to win, I can just try for the Two for One achievement. I guess if I'm probably never going to reach 20 anyway, it won't hurt to lose a few matches.
 
I got the Two For One achievement twice...on Team Slayer. I need the achievement on friggin' Lone Wolves.

Yeah, me too. I hate that it has to be Lone Wolves for a lot of those.

I got Orpheus and Reclaimer today with the help of my friend (Jaded Deceit), so now all I have left are the Lone Wolves achievements.
 
I haven't been home the past 3 days or so but you know I will gladly help you out with metagame stuff. I only have half of them myself.
 
I used the same four skulls for every level: Fog, Catch, Tough Luck, and Thunderstorm. I also played all of them on Normal. Meta-game is not that hard on most of the levels. I only had trouble on Cortana and Halo.

Did anyone watch the new Halo Vidoc "Journey's End"? It's really awesome! It kind of recaps Halo's story. While I was watching it, I got nostalgic for Halo and Halo 2. :lol
 
Except with shields, but close enough. And there's other gametypes as well, but the main thing is that there's no radar and you start with a BR on normal Slayer.
 
Sorry to DP, but has anyone here downloaded the new overpriced maps yet? I've just played a couple games on them and I actually had a blast. Prolly only cause it's something new and refreshing.
 
My friend did(I have no Live). He's probably playing a soccer match right now.
 
I like the new maps, especially Standoff. I played with aleeock and mastermario and we had some great games tonight.

My favorite part was this guy on the other team was on a Mongoose, and he pulled up to my base and started honking. So I ran up to him and stickied him. :lol I put it on my file share if anyone wants to see it. It's called "Honk if you love" (plasma grenades!).

I also played some Team Slayer and a little Lone Wolves. I am REALLY irritated by the fact that they added a BR start gametype without taking out default weapons on the maps. Here I am on the Pit starting out with the BR and thinking "Sweet!" And then I got slammed by a rocket. ::)
