Official Halo 3 General Discussion

Call of Duty 4 is what happened. :D

But I'm always up for a game if you guys want to play.

Actually, I don't see many of my friends playing that, either. Recently, most people are playing single player games, which is kind of weird.

Oh, you know, I had a sort of love/hate relationship with that map. I loved playing it, but I hated having snipes on it because I always got sniped. But it was a great map for vehicles. A reimagined version of it ought to be pretty cool, though.

Because they're sweet?

The other map they revealed for that pack isn't a remake of any kind, it actually reminds me of some kind of Gears map.

If you read their interview, Sidewinder is one of the most requested remake maps.

Yes! Sidewinder's such a sweet map. After playing Brawl for some reason, I really want to play Halo 3. I know...really weird huh?

Guardian's more of a spiritual successor than a remake. I want a remake! I would take Lockout over Coagulation or Zanzibar (The two maps from Halo 2 they remade) any day.

I know, I would as well. I remember in some interview they said that they didn't want to remake Lockout and they would rather do as they did. I don't remember their exact words though.

Personally, I would rather see more new maps. The ones that have been redone or that are spiritual successors just don't play the same, so what's the point in bringing them back?

Not in the least. It's what the fans want, so they're gonna do their best to make that happen.
That doesn't change that it's easier to update an old map than make a new one.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lockout, so I get that, but at the same time, we used to play rockets, or shotguns, and now those weapons are different from how they were in Halo 2, so it wouldn't feel the same even if the map was not tweaked in any way.

Point? Doesn't matter if it was lazy or not. The FANS wanted it, so the FANS get it. I mean, if you don't want them, don't buy them.

Rockets sure feel the same. One hit kills and all.
