OK halo 3 good game like the gravity hammer and the little twists in the story line but the story line sucked and there was no difference between the ending of the first one and the third one also there needs to be alot more levels in the third one is a finally it should be good but the multiplayer great stuff and the campaign good job but now that bungie is leaving microsoft so thanks for the experience bungie

I love the Halo story. I kinda agree that the ingame part is shallow, but if you've never read the books, you don't know half of it...

Yeah, exactly. Reading the books made the game verse that much richer for me. If you only read one of the books, though, make sure it's the first one, The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. That's the one that really got me into it.

Fall of Reach is the best out of them all. Don't bother with The Flood if you played the first Halo. But, read First Strike and Ghost of Onyx to continue the story. I would have loved to play on the location in the book and some of the squad based stuff that they do in the books

Okay, just finished the single player and...disappointed. Once again, they seem to have focused on the multiplayer and cut corners on the main game. I know a lot of folks think that multiplayer Halo is the game, but I consider all of that online stuff as bonus fluff. Deathmatching is boring, running around the same little areas killing the same guys over and over. It's just like grinding for stats in an RPG, except there's no ultimate goal beyond getting higher numbers, so it just goes on and on forever.

Everyone knows that Cinco de Mayo celebrates when Mexican Spartan forces destroyed a batch of French Covenant troops in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. So it seems only fitting that the bravery and sacrifice of those armored soldiers be honored with a Halo 3 Double XP weekend (which has already kicked off) and a new playlist for Fiesta (which spawns players with random weapons) called "Cinco de Mayo."

Two words of warning before you begin jamming cervezas and the right trigger: 1. Everyone can get double XP but you need the Heroic and Legendary map packs to play in "Cinco de Mayo." 2. The party only lasts until Tuesday, with the fiesta becomes a siesta.

I think the Recon armor is overrated. It's not really even that cool-looking IMO; I think people just want it because it's hard to get.

Personally, I wish they would have had more armor permutations for the Elites.

That's the point. I personally like EVA better. It's just the exclusivity that sells it.

Today, I booted someone for betraying me.

We were playing 1 sided VIP on High Ground, and my team was on offense. We started back at the beach, so I went into the cave and picked up the sniper rifle. All of a sudden, I'm getting shot. I look around and there's no enemies; the person shooting me was one of my own teammates. I clicked on the mic and was like "WTH are you doing? I'm not the VIP! And I'm on your team!" and still he kept shooting me. Then I was like, "Oh, I get it. You just want the sniper rifle." I tried to run away but he finally killed me. It popped up the message about Betrayal Booting, and I booted him. And then, we were short two people, so my team lost. :(

:lol

I love people...

Mai, if you guys are gonna do Skirmish, I hate to say this, but you need to have a full party... In Halo 2 all I did was BTB Skirmish matches, so if you ever need someone and I'm online, hit me with a PM.

I don't like Skirmish games. Jaded picked social skirmish, and I'm really not sure why since it seems to piss him off. :lol I think actually it was accidental, though.

I'd really like to get back into Team Slayer and see if I can't get up to at least level 20. I think I'm at 14 right now.
