Over-rated?!?!?!?

Yes, like I've said about some things, people make the game over rated, but it doesn't really change the game at all.

Hmmm...I don't know if Metroid Prime would work. Part of what made Red Vs. Blue good was that you could have some idiot driving a vehicle, killing everyone, or sticking his teammate with a plasma grenade...

RPGs are all about story... if you took the time to go through the game you would know its story is very top notch and at the time it had great graphics and the gameplay was awesome, but now we see it all the time and everybody thinks of it as another rpg but it did revolutionize the genre and really set the bar for future rpgs

I agree, but instead of saying RPGs are all about story, you should probably say more or less RPGs SHOULD be all about story. Now a days, it's hard to find an RPG with a decent story now that everyone is so mesmerized by incredible graphics and such. And, in my opinion, one of the only reasons it sold so well is because 1. playstation was at it's top prime around the time FF7 came out, and 2. the ass loads of money they had to finance the game's advertising. Thus, it became one of the first RPGs many gamers ever laid hands on. And, RPGs being such great games they tend to be (with, sadly, so many more exceptions coming out so often), FF7 hit it big right away.

Any great RPG nowadays has a good story, for the most part. Its the same as it has been for years. Almost all RPG's need a good story now, just like they have for years.

The only RPG's ive played in the last few years with a notible story is Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Metal Gear Solid 2.

shouldn't this be in the ps one section?

yeah this game I think is a tad bit overrated mostly because people remember how good it was when they first played it and they keep that mental image of the game in their minds despite looking back it wasn't really the best game in the world
