so the 3D does not go outside of the screen but it creates the effect that there is some sort of "depth" inside of the screen? I am not really familiar with stereoscopic 3D but i will do some research now

Correct sir. It does not really pop out at you but adds more depth to the games.

I'm personally going to buy one as it is a sweet handheld that is above and beyond better than the PSP. Like I said in the E3 thread, I feel sorry for anyone who bought a DSi because the 3DS just completely craps all over it. The analog stick feels much better than the PSP's nub and the fact that you can turn the 3D with flip of a switch makes it nice when the 3D starts to hurt your head.

What the f are you serious about the graphics? Heck, I'd be happy with just GC graphics on a Nintendo handheld! Man, I am glad I held off on a DSi.

I'm seriously serious. It looks really good. I think one of the other reasons why the games look so good is because there is almost as much anti-aliasing as the 360. Everything looks very smooth and fluid. Even the Wii pales in comparison, especially with all those jaggies.

well i have not seen a system that has had this crazy ammount of great caliber games announced for it before its release

For reals. Also, I believe the screen resolution is 800x440, or something like that. So it's EDTV quality.

If it's good enough to win over Creepin, I'm convinced. If they release it in that purple shade that they used on the demo floor, I'm even more sold.

I swear this is the purple I've been waiting for, and I really hope they release it in this color.

I hope I don't overhype it and some of you end up being disappointed. But I really think it's that good.

As for the colors, I hope they aren't shiny like they are now. It's a fingerprint magnet and just looks tacky, in my opinion. But that purple shade does look good.

You and I both. I may just get this. Gamestop manager friend of mine said "we are not ready for this"..haha said it was incredible when he demo'd it.

I agree. My black DS is so shiny and it always looks nasty because of the fingerprints.

That just made me remember though that I'll probably have to use a protective cover over it, and so the color won't really matter. :lol

Along with the new Nintendo 3DS system itself, Nintendo has developed new game cards to go along with the system. At the E3 demo booths last week, the game card slots were covered up, according to Kotaku, but we now have a look at both the 3DS' slots and the new 3DS game cards courtesy of esuteru.com.

The cards look mostly the same as the current line of DS cards, but these new ones support a 2GB capacity. And as a result, the slot itself looks mostly identical to those on the current line of DS systems. Nothing particularly exciting, but it's possible the new game cards play some role in Nintendo's increased anti-piracy measures the 3DS is supposed to sport. We can't know for sure, of course, as Nintendo doesn't want to give out any details that might help pirates in trying to circumvent those new anti-piracy measures.

Looks cool and all, but I gotta ask: what does knowing whether or not the new game carts "play some role in Nintendo's increased anti-piracy measures the 3DS is supposed to sport" have anything to do with giving out "any details that might help pirates in trying to circumvent those new anti-piracy measures?"
