I plan on grabbing this game, does anyone else plan on picking this up?

Zidart said:actually thanks to the new nintendo channel i realized wii fit is more accurate than random exercising..... the game tells you every single step of your progress, (thing that unacure bathroom scales and DVDs won't do ) even the progress you made in your balance, weight and how much your weight has increased due to the food you ate (the game even recommends you to go on a jog once in a while). so it might be not a big deal to us but it's a good idea for those people that want to lower their weight and be healthier (wich some of us gamers should do) in a fun way.

And random exercising won't help if you don't know what you're doing. Exercise at a minimum of 3 days a week on a good program, and you'll see better results than playing Wii Fit every day.
It's still a cool idea for the casual market though.
And for those who know they won't have the commitment to regularly go to a gym, so they don't want to waste money on fees.Strubes said:It's still a cool idea for the casual market though.

Paying $90 for Wii Fit might not be a bad idea for them. They won't drop 30 pounds in a week, but they might get reasonable results if they combine it with a good diet.
Procrastination. Playing a game = fun. Working out = not as fun. Some people just don't want to have to pay for membership, and drive to a gym several times a week.Strubes said:See, I'd have to disagree. If you don't have time to run three days a week for an average of 20 minutes each...how are you going to have time to play Wii Fit? I don't get the logic in that. :-\

That has nothing to do with the discussion. We're not discussing if you like it. The words 'some people' mean...not just you...or really, you at all.Strubes said:Working out = fun to me.
Strubes said::lol If I want to workout, I gotta go for the real thing. I'm sorry, but Wii fit just isn't for me. I see that this is helpful to kids who aren't old enough to go to a gym and don't do stuff on a daily basis to help out with exercise, but for people who stay fit like me (not to toot my own horn), this is just a $90 piece of plastic.

And running is free.
