Wii Fit

I'm gonna get this, it sounds fun, I like the track your progress function too, that'll be good to see the data.

I'll wait and see if the board is separate, if not, I'll try and get it for free by getting my dad to buy it as a mother's day gift. Though I wouldn't play much if I do get it.

I am surprised they did not release it the day before Mother's Day. I know my wife wants it and I would think a lot of women would like it.

Mmm..Griff...jus come to the gym with me! I have a 2 for 1 pass...actually..I have a ton of them. It's more rewarding. :)

actually thanks to the new nintendo channel i realized wii fit is more accurate than random exercising..... the game tells you every single step of your progress, (thing that unacure bathroom scales and DVDs won't do ) even the progress you made in your balance, weight and how much your weight has increased due to the food you ate (the game even recommends you to go on a jog once in a while). so it might be not a big deal to us but it's a good idea for those people that want to lower their weight and be healthier (wich some of us gamers should do) in a fun way.

Well if you get an unreliable bathroom scale..it will be...well..unreliable. :lol

And random exercising won't help if you don't know what you're doing. Exercise at a minimum of 3 days a week on a good program, and you'll see better results than playing Wii Fit every day.

It's still a cool idea for the casual market though.

Most Mother's day presents aren't so expensive though. It's a stretch for someone to buy a $90 gift just for Mother's Day.

Depends. My kids are young, so I buy the Mother's Day Gifts for my wife and $90.00 is cheap. Also, when I send flowers to my mom it costs me about $80.00. But, I can see if you are a teenager, $90.00 is pricey.

well ask any japanese guy/girl that has played wiifit and they will disagree with you, besides this game is far more accurate than a 3 day program thanks to the big ammount of activities on it (yeah try to pay for a yoga class where you gotta go in a tight schedule)

And for those who know they won't have the commitment to regularly go to a gym, so they don't want to waste money on fees.

I am, and it is. Being that I am quite literally broke, I usually don't (or can't) get my mom more than a card for Mother's Day. XD

Some people don't have the time to go out running three days a week nor do they have a treadmill, exercise machine, or other convenient way of exercising. Paying $90 for Wii Fit might not be a bad idea for them. They won't drop 30 pounds in a week, but they might get reasonable results if they combine it with a good diet.

:lol If I want to workout, I gotta go for the real thing. I'm sorry, but Wii fit just isn't for me. I see that this is helpful to kids who aren't old enough to go to a gym and don't do stuff on a daily basis to help out with exercise, but for people who stay fit like me (not to toot my own horn), this is just a $90 piece of plastic.

See, I'd have to disagree. If you don't have time to run three days a week for an average of 20 minutes each...how are you going to have time to play Wii Fit? I don't get the logic in that. :-\

And running is free.

Procrastination. Playing a game = fun. Working out = not as fun. Some people just don't want to have to pay for membership, and drive to a gym several times a week.

Working out = fun to me.

That has nothing to do with the discussion. We're not discussing if you like it. The words 'some people' mean...not just you...or really, you at all.

yeah like running is the only exerise the body needs, jogging or running only helps in the cardio fitnes... wii fit has both exercises for mind and body, is worth 90$ with all that is packed with (counting like i said no need to pay for unnecesary fees or yoga class)
