You've got to be kidding me Sony...

If it doesn't, no biggie. I plan on keeping my PS2 even if the PS3 plays PS2 and even PSX games because there's always the few cool games that won't work. My PS2 doesn't play all of my PSX games...

I probably won't get the $400 one then. I don't like the clutter of having all those consoles lying around. That's why I sold my Cube. I guess I'll just wait for the price drop.

Can anyone give me confirmation that Sony actually will do this price drop.

think about it

buying the 80GB, rather than 60GB is a huge deal. you get an extra 20GB ($100 on 360 alone) and a free copy of motorstorm!

i'm just waiting for the last ps3 version (or a slim), because with all these different kinds and none is selling that good, it only means that sony will still be making more different types of ps3. when the answer is just 100$ less

Well with PS3 sales heavily on the rise right now, I don't think you'll be finding Sony lowering the prices of their PS3's for a little while. Plus, as stated numerous times before, Sony's already taking a huge hit with each PS3 they make.

i cant wait to buy one, the 80GB that is. the free motorstorm is just to much to pass up!

if i get a job in the next month, i could have one by christmas! w00000t

So, since you wouldn't use it, wouldn't you prefer a cheaper version with an amount closer to what you'd actually use? Demos, you pretty much delete once you decide on the game or not.

well i could have photos and music on it, and videos, i would never have to worry about space again.

and plus, it includes a free copy of motorstorm :)

>_> They could put Motorstorm in any one. Plus, you have a digital camera and an iPod?

Hmm, alright, but most people do, and wasn't the point of releasing core packages and the platinum package or whatever they felt like calling it a way to give people choices to help better sales? And isn't that something Sony needs? And now, with them getting rid of every version, isn't that what they're not doing?
