^Doubt that.  I hear the X360 will be released November 2nd for $300.  That's almost nothing towards a good computer (not sure what you have now).

So xbox is only gonna be 3 bills and PS3 is gonna be 6?

Right now I've got a 2,6GHz Celeron with about 1GB RAM and a GeForce4 Ti 4200. Not a great videocard, but a better one shouldn't be so expensive. But it doesn't matter that much. As long as it's good enough to play Elder Scrolls 4 I'm happy with it. ;)

$600 for the PS3? Wow, I've got some saving up to do

Blasphemous lies is all that is. I read several articles and heard on G4TV that the PS3 would be about $450 American. There's no confirmation on that but that's as good as anyone's best guess. Sure it's still pricy, but its not as bad $600. Where did that number even come from!?

there is no way you can be convinced.

Developers HATE developing on PS3. They say it's harder to develop for than 360.

If they hate developing on PS3 the games will suffer and prettymuch, They're going to suck.

I hear PS3 might be as much as $700
for that price you can get a 360 AND Revolution and get better games in the long run.

You know Nintendo will deliver on Revolution.

You keep "hearing" what the price is going to be, but right now none of it is true, yet. Like ive said before just wait until everything is official before anyone starts any complaining. And they've said the same thing about the PS2 but eventually once the developers got the hang of the system they started producing more quality games.

but the ps3 is different because it's so much more powerful than the PS2 and the Cell design is so complicated it's almost impossible to make anything on it. Sony has considered making the PS3 run Linux to make it easier.

Well, then just wait until we actually see any gameplay. There still is a chance that the developers will get the hang of it.

Ever played God of War on PS2? You thought the limit of the PS2 had been reached, but someone forgot to mention it to GoW. :D So with that in mind, think about hos the "intro" games on PS3 will compare to games releaed around 2008? Sweeeet... 8)

Exactly. Not everyone will be able to push the hardware to its limits in the first or even second year. And that goes for all the systems.

So why bother compare the xbox360, revolution and ps3 anyway? It could take years before people start to take advantage of these systems. And as for exclusive games on PS3, does it really matter? I would rather have few but great exclusive games on a system than a whole bunch of exclusive games no one wants to play.

Well you're the one who started this topic, so I figure you're the one who wanted to compare. As for exclusive games, I play what I like to play. I dont buy games just becuase everyone else is playing them. And who knows maybe you like those games that everybody else doesnt want to play. Popularity shouldnt be considered too much when purchasing a game.

We have a game about Mary-Kate and Ashley, and someone actualy play it? No, and that's my point. :lol I know I started this topic, and you have convinced me it doesn't matter. That's quite an accomplishment, really. ;)

First off im sure there are little girls running around who actually played the game. Never underestimate the Olsens and their power over younger children. You cant possibly know if anybody played it or not. And Im glad to you it doesnt matter because in the end its the games that make the system. Just choose the one that has the games that you prefer the most.

yeah... we don't know what it will be.... but it will be high. They are speculating $450+ AND games of $70 each.

If they charge $70 each for games.... That will SUCK.
Honestly, people are having a hard enough time paying for $50 games.... and will only wait for deals to buy.

BV :hat

If that is true, then I Sony losing this console battle. I for sure wouldnt buy something that expensive.

All the more reason to get used games.

Yeah but I dont always want to buy used games. Plus if sales drop there wont be that many used games in the first place. Not to mention the cost of the system. Even if it is used Im sure it will still cost quite a bit.
