DEAR GOD NO!!!! Bungie leave Halo?....

DEAR GOD NO!!!! Bungie leave Halo? Does it spell bad news for good 'ol Halo? I sure as hell hope not! A contact of mine informed me just the other day that Bungie just might no longer be working with any future Halo productions. Which means, if there'll be any more later, Halo will be pretty much open for other companies.

In my opinion. I beleive it is absolute BOGUS! I hope my contact is wrong for I do not wish for it to be true. If Bungie leaving Halo means there wont be any more Halo's to come, then I'll just have to beat them until they decide not to!!!

I havn't found any details on the 'officiality' of this situation, so I trust that its simply speculation. But, my judgement has been wrong before. I'm actually curious, though, of what will happen if they left. Where would things go from there? In fact, why the heck would Bungie leave? Wasn't there excellent money in working with a game that's famous? Heck, the Mastercheif alone is practially the Tom Cruise of Game characters!

We need to dig up some info on this, post-haste! As a game forum, I feel it's only just that we work together to find out these kind of things to get the most accurate details possible!

Now. For the heck of it, here's a trailer that has a combination of traliers from Halo Wars, and Halo 3. Just to get your minds in gear for this situation. :)

After Halo 3, there won't be other Halo games (not including Halo Wars and its good that Bungie isn't making it because they have no clue how to make an RTS) so they probably won't be...

pfffffffffffff

its what they say, but do you think microsoft is gonna stop its biggest series?

it would be like nintendo saying "ok, no more zelda or mario games"

Yes they'll stop.

And Nintendo would've been smart if they said that...stop the games when they were good.

The problem is, the entire Halo storyline is finished with Halo 3, plus I would think Bungie would want to work on something different, like they did after the third Marathon game.

Halo is finished as a series. Sometimes its just better if things end...

Well, considering the war between the Covenant and humans will probably be resolved in Halo 3, I can't think of anything they can do besides a prequel, and we have 3 books covering that...

I agree with Homicidal on this one. With each new Halo, the series would fall more and more into the bland and boring same ol' same ol'.

There can't be a Halo 4 though. The entire game is actuall based along a series of boooks, which there are five of.

Only 1 book so far is a prequel, but the next one is also a prequel. And The Fall of Reach would be an awesome game.
Now THAT! Could work. Perhaps as a mix between something like Battlefeild and normal style Halo? Because Dart is right, the game is basically the same not matter which one you play. What makes it good is the excellent story line. Its like playing a book. Tf you think about it, most games these days aree made to have a good story line, rather than a long life span. Unless of cource you play Final Fantasy, which can take a while... sometimes.

Bungie might have a good idea with leaving Halo because there'll likely be absolutely nowhere to go after that, but it's still their trademark. They've been there since the start! And where the heck will they even go from there? I havn't seen any well known titles by Bungie around!
