Why PS3 will flop

Wishful thinking. The PS3 will not "flop", don't kid yourself. I like all the consoles but I am also in tune with reality, and the reality is that the PS3 will not flop :)
 
I'd like to know where some of you are getting these magical crystal balls that look into the future and show you how the PS3 will do. Seriously, hook a brotha up man!!!!11

Seriously not just the PS3 but all the systems futures.
 
PS2 sold 51 million units the year it came out

XBox sold 5 million
Gamecub sold 5 million as well


I think Sony's fanbase will stick with them no matter what.
 
I went by the direct sales from all the companies...and ITT....lol since they all matched..I figured I'd use their versions

But then again, G4tv could've been talkin bout jus the units sold in japan or america or something.
 
Sonys fan base has nothing to do with how well they will fair next generation. Its all about costs, games, and usability. I know plenty of PS2 lovers who bought a 360 and said that they are not getting a PS3. I personally dont believe that the PS3 will flop, I just think that the 360 will win the console war.

Sony's fan base has a HUGE, if not, the most important role in how well they will fare. The more fans, the more sales.
 
Well look at it like this. When Sony first entered the console foray, both Sega, and Nintendo both had a bigger fanbase and consumer trust. That didnt stop the Playstation from becoming the huge hit that it was.
 
I dont care how big of a fan you are, if another system has or shows potential to be better you are gonna go to the next biggest thing.

Not in Japan, really. We are different from Japanese so you really cant compare us to them. They dont like american systems. That's pretty much a known fact.

Cause of their loyalty towards their systems, yes. That's why the PS3 will dominate.
