Why PS3 will flop

Cause of their loyalty towards their systems, yes. That's why the PS3 will dominate.

Yes but it's not specifically Sony but just Japanese systems in general was my point. You said the fanbase for Sony.

O alrighty, my mistake.

I still think the PS3's gonna dominate tho. That's just my opinion. :)

Software will be most important this console war. The reason the 360 is doing bad in Japan is because the 360 doesnt have what Japanese gamers want yet. Americas taste in games are much different from Japans. 360s games right now reflect pretty much what the American gamer would want right now. Sports, racing, and shooters. When games such as RPGs like Final Fantasy, and Lost Oddesy appear on the system I expect the 360 to do fine.

My opinion why the PS3 will not beat the 360

1 The head start the 360 has over the PS3. I think this was a smart move on Microsofts part

2 Microsoft has alot of momentum heading into this war

3 Microsoft has the greatest Online strategy ever devised

4 By opting to use a conventional DVD drive developers are right at home when it comes to making games

5 The 360 game pad is the best pad in existence, espeacially if Sony opts to keep their boomerang controller

6 Pretty much all the big names are on board fully. Sega, Capcom, Square Enix, Mistwalker, EA, Namco, Rockstar, Activision, and Team Ninja just to name a few

You should start a new topic on how you feel the Xbox 360. That part of the board needs more topics and this would be a nice debate.

first of all, the PS2 has sold 91 million world wide. while the xbox sold 20 million... Sony's fanbase is MUCH bigger

if you don't thing the PS3 will be big... you are just ignorant

now i never said the PS3 is without flaws, just look at the controller

but Sony said that is not the final design. so I'm looking forward with what they come up with

Completely subjective. It's a nice controller. I like the feel but I prefer the PS2 Dual Shock controller more.

Pick up the Dual Shock controller, and than pick up the 360 pad. Can you honestly tell me that the Dual Shock pad is more comfortable. Better yet hook up the 360 pad to your small PS2. You can use it as an controller by hooking it up to your USB port. This only for people who got the Core System controller. Oh, now try picking up a boomerang and pretend like your pushing buttons. Do you think you could get used to that?

That's jus ur opinion

Also, with the sales over the holiday season? Xbox over PS2? Duh...cause parents can't afford the XBox 360 or there wasn't enough, so Y not get the regular?

Look at the overall sales between the XBox and the PS2 n come back when you get ur facts.

First of all you're relying only on speculation. None of us can actually try a PS3 controller so how can you make that argument? Pretending isn't going to work. Same with the Revolution controller, none of us can really say how it plays because there is no way to test it. And I can honestly say that the PS2 controller is more comfortable. Thats MY OPINION. You may like the 360 controller better and some other people also but that doesnt automatically make it the best in existence.

Well, I think the PS2 controller is too small. Like, the "wings" where you hold the controller aren't long enough or big enough. It's still usable, but I prefer the Xbox contoller over the Cube or PS2 controllers.

Some food for thought: Panasonic revealed a Blu-Ray DVD player at CES. The cost? $1800.

Sony's still going to put Blu-Ray in the PS3. How much of a loss are they willing to sell the system at?
