Why PS3 will flop

I think the what, 50GB storage is a little bit of overkill... That's like 10 regular DVD's. Most new PC games fit on one DVD.

I think the whole purpose of Blu-ray is for more than just the regular content like games or movies. It's more for extras. One of the ideas is that you can look up info about a movie at the same time you are watching it. Personally I think that idea sucks as I just want to watch the movie and wait later to go into the extras. But I still think that Blu-ray has potential.

I think the PS3 will be really big. The controller didn't look as bad as some of you think; look at the Revolution controller, as much handling variety as it has. I think it looks quite stupid. Anyways, I drift more towardds gameplay and story more than I do graphics. Shit I barely know what I'm talking about.

If you drift more towards gameplay than graphics, why would you even be remotely interested in any of the next gen consoles other than the Revolution?

The gameplay changes...

Graphics are part of the gameplay whether you will admit it or not. As is sound. A game with "creepy" gameplay (Condemned anyone?) would not be as remotely as creepy if the graphics were bright and cheery and the sound crap. Argue against that!

The graphics help draw you into the gameplay if done correctly.

Not always. Kind of like a book. Books are usually just words, yet with just those words you can still get a good visual of whats going on and can still draw you in. Sure graphics and sound are nice, but they should come second in the grand scheme of a game. Unless sound, like you said Spartan, is what is going to be the main part of the game then yes that's fine.

I have never really appreciated "Creepy" games...such as RE,Silent hill etc etc...they are like scary movies...the do not scare me at all.in fact,I find my self becoming impatient with such games.

The most they scare me is the "OH ****!" moments (which are just cheap scares really). Stuff popping out of corners etc. In Doom 3, it never really worked since it became so cliche by the end of the game I could anticipate with almost 100% accuracy where someone would come from.

I like to have a game with good graphics, which is why I lean more towards the PS3, I just don't like it to be pretty while everything else is crappy and generic.

You're trying to tell me that sony never had any good games?
And yes...the sales at the end are like the end of a football game.

First of all...the only good game that Sony ever made IMO is legend of dragoon....secondly Soccer is the only real Football Game!!......that last part was mostly to ruffle your feathers strubes :)

Sales are not a score and never will be. In any form of entertainment. Whether it be movies or music or video games. Just because the masses likes it does not mean it equals a good game. But I agree Sony has made some great games AND franchises in my opinion. If other people dont like them, well, then they dont.

Do you mean because the masses bought it? Because if the vast majority of people think a game is good, it most likely is.

Eh, not always and it's not just games where this happens. Music, movies, any entertainment medium. The masses usually just go with the flow and buy a product because usually it's the cool thing at the moment. Sales does not mean that every single person that bought think it's a great game. How many return their games? How many end up selling games back? True their are some games that are just awsome and sell well but like I said it's about 50/50.

50/50? I don't know where that came from..but most of the time..if there's tons of people buying a product...MOST will like it...I dont' remember a product where a bunch of people bought it, and the majority thought it stunk.

I never said majority. Plus how many people like it for a while and then realize it stunk? Anyways, that's just my opinion.
